I love this song! It holds up pretty good after all these years! Bruce stated in an interview that he loved the ROYALTIES from Tupac's song Changes. Others have sampled or covered this song.

I was about 17 when this song came out and it was a huge hit but I must say it hits such harder 17 years later now that I’m a thirty four year old

Y'all oughta know. Prince was NASTY. Then he leaned in. Listen to almost any extended play radio hits club tracks. Far from humble too. He knew his shit and didn't take compromising kindly. Or as humble as an icon should be.

The joke about the rabbit dying…. Like No before dna testing, they used rabbit serum. If the woman was pregnant, the serum would react with the rabbits blood and the rabbit would die

Not the best version. This one she cut the words short, which doesn't showcase her voice or this song in it's best light.

Rodney is considered by many to be one of the greatest comedians of all time. He was considered a father to many of the biggest comedians in the 80's & 90's. A lot of them got their big break at his club in Manhattan, named Dangerfields.

A song that is similar in theme is The Dance by Garth Brooks. The official music video REALLY drives it home on the heart strings, but KZbin for some reason won't allow it to be posted.

Prince was one of those artist that I loved as a kid but grew an intense amount of appreciation for when I got older. One thing I love abt his songs is they can get you turnt up and as time progresses you understand his deep lyricism more and more. We didn’t have as many artists as him and I’m glad he gave us so much of his work when he was alive

Hi! To understand this at all you should read two very excellent and fascinating books: Alice in Wonderland, and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll. There are clear references to taking psychedelic drugs in these children's books, and directly relate to the LSD and other hallucinogenic drugs popular during the 60s.
