Nice video. So I have been basically winning almost every local I been competing for the past couple months, including beating nationally highly ranked GMs in my division (and I am M). One change I made right before I started winning a lot that I believe will help you is you need to start looking at every stage as a separate match. Who cares if you had two Mikes on stage one, just let that go. I used to shoot one mike and be like “well that’s it I’m screwed”. That mentality will screw the rest of the match. Focus on leaving the mikes behind and shoot the next stage like a brand new match. Just that simple change helped me a lot. Also now that the match is over try to look at what you did good, make good mental impressions, and leave those mikes behind. Coming from someone who would dwell on mikes for a week after the match, trust me, just put those to the back of your mind and focus on the good. Remember, every stage is its own match, take the good from the last stage with you, and leave the bad behind. You do that, you will take 1st next time. Also, my buddy who is my mentor in the sport that is a high level CO GM taught me this mentality by the way!

@@DavidLeakeEsq Thanks Homie. I sure run my matches how you described. Those mikes were on my first stage. I dont let them bother me at all. Mike Hwang said in a podcast with travis tomasie nobody cares about the local matches its practice for the level 2-3 matches. Take the mikes take the charlies push yourself out your comfort zone and accept the failures and mistakes learn from them and keep applying and pushing yourself. Eventually everything will start to fall into place. I shot great on the 5 stages after this night i didnt let the mikes fuck my head up at all. But i really appreciate the knowledge and guidance you giving me for sure and definitely will apply it and always keep that in mind wen shooting these matches🫡🫡

@ Awesome! Got a great mindset already! Yeah locals are great practice for majors. I do a lot of experimenting in locals with speed and pushing limits, which is where mikes sometimes show up. But that is the time to figure things out! Not a majors! Good luck this season! I got 8 majors coming up, so I am going to start heating it up in training and at locals! I’m really trying to dominate in PCC Div this year, I knocking on the GM card door already! 😎

It’s my understanding that if you want to compete, that for the most part, you can get a spot at Nats. I might compete in handgun nats too, going to see how things go this year. I’ll be out there for PCC nats for sure. I’m signed up for area 5 and area 8, those are open if you want to join!

Came back 2 weeks later shot my first match and here it is 2 years later in march. Practiscore.com click the 3 lines top right corner, click matches and type in your area in the search bar and see what gun clubs host uspsa matches near you. I ain't gonna talk too much trash. I have a couple budget friendly options that pretty smooth shooters. Stoeger STR9C Sar 9 X. That I just picked up yesterday. Haven't shot yet.

I'm ranging the sar today or tomorrow definitely before the week is out. Already got the gear packed and ready to make my run.
