Mine started this today. I've barley played this thing. First it started bogging down during any gameplay, figured I better get rid of it now so I went to pack it up and trade it for a PS5 and this happens. I also can't reach anyone at asus

Question, When you sent it with bestbuy to get it RMA'ed, did you take out your ssd (if you had upgraded it) or logged out of any of your accounts? I'm having the exact same issue and I'm about to go see bestbuy since I bought a warranty through them.

Mine is messed up too everytime I play a game that requires too click on the left stick to sprint it’ll sprint and some moments it’ll stop completely from able to move with the left stick til 2 seconds pass

August 2024, Right Stick only goes up and down, I looked at calibration and it only goes Up and Down not Left and Right. That means we need Sticks to be replaced?

Same here with the right joystick. Cant move right or left. When i switcj to desketop mode the cursor mvoves to left alone . Wothout responding to left or right . Any one qith a solution? My rog ally has little mark on one corner because it fall along time ago, do you think asus qill reject the warranty because of that? If i open it, do i lloose the wattsnty?

@@Nano.virus.2.0 Nope but there’s a video on sending it to Asus and apparently they were a hassle and charging people for other things to fix instead of the main problem. Video is from gamers nexus called “Asus scammed us”

First, I got my sd card reader fried, and I thought - so let it be. Then after ~ 2 weeks (total 120 hours playing Cyberpunk) both triggers and right joystick stop working. Software manipulation (driver updates, system reinstall) doesn't work😐 Seems like I'm going to send it back

That's what I usually did and my usb-c port went bad. I really went into this thing with an open mind, started out great but then quickly turned into regret real quick. Now I'm stuck with a $600 paper weight

Ok so an update for everyone. This video was because ASUS support asked me to send a video on the issue. We tried troubleshooting the basic "UPDATE EVERYTHING" that did not work. I ended up having to just send it in to get the joystick replaced.

I went to bestbuy, where I bought the device. They sent it back for repairs. Took about a week and a half to get it back. It costed me nothing because it was still under the manufacturer's warranty.

Everything works fine now and all they did was replace the joystick. I didn't have to remove my passcode or anything. (Also, wow I was breathing loudly.😂)

@tacticalhawk4531 same happened to me. I wasn't even using it, I've been using an Xbox elite controller, and they messed up the joystick on a firmware update 😂 now I need to send it for replacement as well, mine is one of the day one unit.

For me, 2 days ago, the left joystick started flashing while I was playing with the joysticks off. I'd like to point out that everything on my Ally is up to date and that I use it very little. Has this ever happened to you?

Same, worked fine for an hour when I took it out of the box. Then an update on Armory Crate killed it. Let me know if you find a fix, i've been looking but none the wiser

If you bought it from bestbuy, I would try to return/exchange it. My issue occurred after the 2 week return policy, so I don't have the option anymore. Asus support asked for a yt video on the issue for the warranty claim. I don't want to swap out the joystick since that will probably void any warranty I may still have. Also, I heard swapping out the stick might not even help.

@@djcruizejr25 No, Asus support didn't help, had to send it in for repair. It is very likely a faulty joystick, so no amount of updates will fix anything.

Having the same issue after 9 days. Called ASUS and was going to send it in to be repaired but I can’t even figure out how to disable the password because ASUS said they’ll need to be able to unlock the device. I don’t understand any of the rules they are telling me to do before sending it in so I just give up. I’ll be using a Xbox controller every time I feel like gaming.
