Not sure why anyone would prefer Scott's Hill over Bypass, but to each his own.

It's just steep and interesting, I guess that's why I go that way a lot. The other way is also challenging and fun though.

One of these days I gotta shuttle the Millcreek side all the way down. I usually just pedal the PCMR loop. It's fun, but exhausting. Also, that line where you dropped the bike, I never take the inside anymore, it smashes my bottom bracket every dang time!
@RideLabs3 күн бұрын
Haha, that's a challenging line for some reason! Yea, it's fast and flowy down Millcreek until lower pipeline, which is a slog until rattlesnake gulch. Then it's fun.

@@RideLabs Cool cool. Sad to hear you didn't get along with the Mallet clips. Been running them on my Switchblade for 3 years and had great success with them. I've got buddies that run the SPD's and Time pedals that give them great reviews as well. I like the SPD on my XC/light trail rig, but I'm not big in the Time's.
@RideLabs3 күн бұрын
For clipped in I've usually ridden CB's, and usually they hold me in fine. I bought these mallets used, maybe I should try some new ones...
@vashusan19843 күн бұрын
@@RideLabs I change my cleats regularly because I feel they wear out faster than SPD. I started out with easy out cleats and quickly moved to standard gold to get a more secure fit.

Eric, you were right! A shuttle might be the way to go! Pedaled it today and man, it's a lot of exposed trail on the way up. Also, the optional features were gnarlier than your video looks 😅 Spent a good 10 minutes looking at that second optional line between the rocks before committing, especially on my small bike. Thanks for the vid, it's a solid trail!
@RideLabs20 күн бұрын
Nice! Yea, it's a good chute, you didn't realize it until you drop in .
@vashusan198420 күн бұрын
@@RideLabs agreed. I dropped my bike on that last rock roll, took a bad line. But there are so many options. Kudos for nailing that rock drop, I rolled it...
@RideLabs20 күн бұрын
We actually ran a shuttle the other day from the parking lot you can see at the bottom of Lehi's dream, up to the top of maple hollow and it took about 20min to drive up... Right on the edge of climb vs shuttle haha. I think next time we'll park down on the I15 frontage road and then at least we can use all that elevation and not waste gas getting up there. Hope you/ bike are good.
@vashusan198420 күн бұрын
@@RideLabs Some bumps, but no big deal. Bike is good, thankfully. 👍
@reabbotted6 күн бұрын
i'm curious if there are other lines through that second optional section, just before going through the chute. You can roll through the middle of it, working to avoid striking a pedal on the left side. But are there other lines through?

Your videos will immediately be 100x better after you figure out how to get rid of that clicking. I'm sorry to be critical, because I like your channel and the videos are helpful when scoping out new trails in Utah. That clicking is just out of control.

How much climbing is on this route? Eta of longest climb at a chill pace? Looking to do this before mid October. Read some comments about it being too much for some people. I've done plenty of epic rides before so I'm sure I would enjoy it. I'm intermediate to advanced. In pretty good shape. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

Here is my ride log from that day (pretty sure). from Oct 20, 2023 www.trailforks.com/ridelog/view/59725342/ . It can take a lot longer if there are technical problems or someone bonks or something. Be sure to bring plenty of water. 3 liters and a bottle of mix? Bring food. Bring tools and tubes etc. Going on a shuttle means there will be others around, so that's good, but even better if you have a buddy.
