The show is good and very authentic to Vietnam. Very organized and could be enjoyed by people of all ages. I went with my 3 year old and he was mesmerized with the music and the puppets for the full hour. Some tips for booking the tickets. They are almost always available at the ticket counter for 150K VND and 200K VND for the next show. The online websites and agents try to show houseful and sell tickets at 2-3 times the actual prices. Viator.com sells $3 ticket for $6 at very in-transparent pricing without showing up the actual price. Please avoid booking tickets online. Rather buy them directly at the theater while walking around the old quarter area. Also, kids up to 3 years of age are free while Viator.com usually charges for kids more than 2 years old.

2016 Rail Tour Prices are unchanged for 2017. US$4000 (Standard Class) to US$4300 (Superior Class).

I thought I'd get maybe 1000 or so views on this effort ...but happy to see I underestimated how much interest there is in Water Puppetry. Have seen and recorded Hanoi's water puppets many times over the years ...this latest hdd video (2013) was filmed in one performance (50 minutes), then edited to produce a 13 minute video for KZbin. It covers most aspects of the full show. ,

Another visit to Long Tan in October (6 months after ANZAC Day) revealed not young rubber trees but an almost mature field of tapioca (manioc/casava). The vegetation around the site of the cross continues to change with each visit. Will rubber bounce back? I'll post picture if/when I find the way! Stay tuned.
