As a teacher (or school administrator) if an officer comes to the school for a student you are told not to take on the "parental" or guardian role. But, you can make sure a parent or lawyer is contacted right away, and you can try and do so in a way the student understands to shut up.

If police are talking to my child without me present they will regret it, I will file reports to the PD, the Chief of Police, the DA and the States Attorney and bring it to the attention of the community, don’t talk to children without parents/attorneys being present

I don’t think there are so many programs that I want KYRC to add but I would love to see collaborations between yall and others like: People’s Program Oakland, Community Movement Builders. I think we should be able to see and hear collaboration happening between folks actually doing the work and what they think about one another
