I think you all are more informed about Christianity than most Christians. Thanks for helping me learn more! I love all my Christian brothers and sisters, but this is one of the reasons I’m glad to be a Catholic. Having 2000 years of tradition in addition to Scripture is a necessity, I think. 😊 I know that as a Catholic, I don’t take everything literally like some Christians do because Paul did come from a different time and culture…We believe the smaller traditions, like women not speaking in church, can change over time. However, the bigger things, like the natural law of marriage, aren’t meant to change. And one more thing! I do believe a good man is a head over his household because that is another part of the natural law. Men have the gifts of strength and protection…Good men protect women, but bad men can sadly use their strength to harm women. However, this doesn’t mean that us women don’t have gifts, too. We have a special feminine genius that is unique to women, and I also think that women can be strong, too. …There are many examples of strong and intelligent women in the Catholic tradition who helped to keep the Church alive with their God-given gifts. But back to my main point! It is really helpful for me to have the tradition of a very old and historical Church to help interpret these Bible verses! 😅

There were no religions breakups at that time period every human would follow Sanatan DHARMA (way of living life) .... Hinduism is no religion it was created by Britishers the name granted to those living near indus river as indu then it became hindu...Mughals first invaded India and that's how they brought concept of religious forced conversion in India and converted them to muslims after Mughals were defeated then came Britishers to invade India and forced converted India into Christianity.... There is a big difference between Religion and Dharma.... There is no concept of conversion in Dharma so only Hinduism never believes in conversion of any religion every religion is accepted in Hindu Dharma... Religion divides people and Dharma connect and bonds humans as one.... Mahabharat is real history... Archeological evidence are found including human bone structure of 35 feet long and big foot structure made in rock and more.

First, the trinity is the interpretation of how Scripture testifies to the revelation of God when God manifests in our reality. According to the Bible narratives, God has manifested in three divine persons, simultaneously. The Gospel is about the eternal divine utterance, The Word, entering our reality fully human and fully divine. So God’s Eternally Uncreated Word is sent not as a book but as a man. Therefore, questions arise: is The Word uncreated or created? Is The Word divine then? The revelation is that The Word entered our reality as a human being by means of Mary, the blessed virgin. So the trinity explanation developed out of considerable theological debates trying to explain the nature of this holy revelation. And the revelation with regards to The Word gave no option but for Christians to recognize that The Word was God. And there aren’t three Gods, there is only One God. It is a realization that God can manifest in any way God wills, can remain in Heaven and also come down to Earth simultaneously and yet remain undivided.

Thanks for your spirit of inquiry and not jumping to conclusions! There was corruption with indulgences in the Catholic Church, and that really contributed to the Protestant Reformation happening. However, the Catholic Church went through what is called the Counter Reformation (I believe), and now the selling of indulgences or anything that is blessed is strictly forbidden. We do still have indulgences that the Pope grants for people who go on pilgrimages or participate in certain parts of the life of the Church. However, someone has to be in a state of detachment from sin and intentionally participate in the life of the Church to have the benefits of the indulgences. We see indulgences as a grace that comes from God through His Church, if that makes sense!

You all being willing to visit a Catholic Church and learn about it respectfully is amazing. ❤ Catholicism is a religion that needs to be studied because there is so much depth and history to it. 😊 Often times, people make false statements about the Catholic Church out of ignorance. I really appreciated how you all are willing to learn about Catholicism even though you don’t agree with certain beliefs. Btw, I’m a Catholic who recently visited a mosque and enjoyed it a lot! While we disagree on certain theological things of course, I think both Islam and Catholicism have rich traditions of prayer! As a Catholic woman who wears a veil to Mass, I have a lot of respect for hijabis, too!

7:44 I’m not entirely educated on the topic but I believe that god is willing to forgive us without sacrifice, but the people before Jesus didn’t seek it, and they chose to live in sin. God sent Jesus down to pay a price for our sin so even if we don’t want his forgiveness a price has been paid for us. That is how much he loves us. Now that isn’t a free ticket into heaven, you can’t just say Jesus is God and be smooth sailing, because that isn’t faith. If you truly have faith you will do the world of the Lord as well.

And also the animal who died to cover Adam and Eve's sin is a foreshadowing. "For the wages of sin is death." So God provided the (only actual) perfect sacrifice, Jesus, to cover our sin that we would not be separated eternally in death.

I will say as a Christian, I feel for you being confused by the needs that Zoomer keeps bringing up. To legit understand the exact reason why Jesus needed to be incarnated and die to redeem humans would probably require a chalkboard and about 20 minutes. Only covering this.

The way I have understood the Trinity as I gree up is that is how the Christian belief of God being in mulitiple forms but also one being. In some translations of Genesis, God is said to talk to "us" and "we" must do x or y. In Christianity God is believed to be a being that manifests as three beings to interact with us. That diagram is confusing. The Father is the one typically called the Lord or YHWH. Jesus is the Son and you'd have to look places in the Bible where it is believed he does things before being incarnated but it is believed he existed before creation like the other manifestations. The Holy Spirit is the most obscure. He is the part of God that lives in us and can be empowered to give people gifts like the apostles speaking in Tongues. The Holy Spirit is also said to do specific things in the Bible like come down when Jesus was baptized to connect with him. Something interesting is that the Holy Spirit is said to come down "like a dove" so most art depicts him as a dove. I do wonder if the Greek means he flew like a dove does or in that form. It does make me wonder. I do see how the Trinity can be seen as odd to the other Abrahamic religions. Jesus being God is one hurdle and the Holy Spirit is more obscure.

I as a shia want to give some constructive criticism here, as your account of Shi'ism was incredibly rooted in bias as opposed to objective analysis. We don't just simply prefer Ali (AS) as the successor, we believe the Prophet (SAWA) directly appointed him for all to see and hear at Ghadir. This makes accepting any other alternative not just incorrect, but a form of kufr as it means disobedience to what the Prophet (SAWA) commanded. You mentioned that we reject "authenticated" sunni sources, without noting that we have our own hadith compilations, or why we reject the sunni sources. We take our deen from Qur'an and Ahlul-bayt, in other words, all our hadiths are from the Prophets (SAWA) family. This is what the Prophet (SAWA) commanded, even in your own sunni texts such as Muslim and Tirmidhi. The Prophet (SAWA) did not command us to follow the sahaba or tabe'een, and we Shia consider them as untrustworthy and unreliable hence taking deen from then would be a very problematic matter. This is why we reject them, which you failed to mention. While you of course have your personal views, if you want to make a video to objectively explain the differences, there can't be bias, and you have to present the Shia view from the Shia perspective, as opposed to the sunni perspective. In the same way that you couldn't present the sunni perspective from the shia view.

Because Vedas are an oral tradition that they are more authentic than when written down because Vedas are recited. However, till date from the thousands, no Vedic text has been found with a textual error because Vedas are inscribed with the pronounciation from a dialect that predates classical sanskrit. And authenticity is not relevant because Vedas are not a rule-book of beliefs from where arbitrary law is derived. Most Hindus don't even care for the Vedas because they have better condensations of Vedic knowledge in other texts. Neither the Vedas nor Hinduism is centered around God or faith.

The trinity comes from two words, tri and unity. Tri meaning three and unity as in united as one. We worship one God, who is three distinct persons. Each person is distinct and sperate but they are all fully and equally God. I'll explain in depth the trinity below. The father - Is the almighty creator of everything. The son- Is Jesus Christ who died on the Cross for our sins. He has two natures, a sivine nature, which is the same as the fathers divine nature, and a human nature, which is the reason Jesus can feel humanly thing, prayed and submitted to the Father and said claims like "The father is greater than I" etc. The Holy spirit - He is the one who guides, comforts , and strengthens worshippers of Christ. So essentially, one God , three persons. Why can't you understand it? Because it is a 4 dimensional concept that was brought in to the third dimensional plane. It is a *super*natural concept , not a natural concept.We as humans who live in the third dimension, observe and learn things in the natural world won't fully understand the trinity because it is beyong human comprehension for it is a concept beyond the third dimension. So it would make sense that God, whose an omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent being, who is a supernatural and 4th dimensional entity, beyond the concepts of time, space , reality and our human comprehension, would be a triune being.

Catholicism says that you do NOT have to be in the church to be saved. You enjoy the fullness of what God has to offer in the church, but you are not saved just by being in the church, nor are you unsaved by NOT being in the church. BB made that clear. I am a little confused that tho you acknowledged that WHILE BB was speaking, BUT at the end you concluded the exact opposite of what he said. Kinda odd that you did that. BTW, it is not "soft" to say that God makes the final judgment. I'm not sure what you mean by "soft". That God loves you and wants your salvation is not a "soft" statement. It is just a truth.
@mariefrench44
@mariefrench44 19 күн бұрын
btw, you say apparently that we can never judge anyone, it's up to Allah... It is the EXACT SAME in christianity. God and Jesus very clearly state that judgement is God's and God's alone.
@mariefrench44
@mariefrench44 19 күн бұрын
Wow, a lot of misinterpretation here by our Muslim friends, but thank you for taking the time to try to understand what BB is saying. When BB says that Jesus brings us to the fullness of what God has to offer it's a statement about Jesus himself, not about any human beings participation in that offering. Even if some humans don't know Jesus or choose not to know him, Jesus still loves them... much as he loves and admires the Good Samaritan and has love for the prodigal son. In fact, Jesus talks about God's love for humans in the same way that a Father has love for his children. In the story of the Good Samaritan, it is a non-believer whom Jesus upholds as a perfect example of christian behavior... so faith alone does not determine goodness... your actions, even if uninformed by faith, are what determine goodness. BUT learning what Jesus taught offers you insight into all that is good because Jesus taught it. If muslims believe that Jesus was at least a prophet, then they should be able to hear Jesus's words and learn from them.

Great video, I love learning about other religions and perspectives. I am a Lutheran and have a correction, we do not believe as the Catholics do that the bread and wine actually become the body and blood of Christ. We do believe that Christ is specially and specifically present in the bread and wine and is more than just symbolic. We also believe in Faith Alone you will be saved but if you truly have that faith you will then do God's will and give good works.
