Not a fair comparison unless you play both melodies on the same chimes ie both on bells or gongs. But I think Westminster Is better on big gongs than bells but the more elaborate chimes 8 10 bell one's are better on bells generally well fit better on them anyway

Prob Whittington as there's more to listen to. Getting one like this from a dealer in Glasgow for £2500. Saw it on Tue and had it demonstrated to me. 3 sub dials and Big Ben sound quality, triple fusee. Going to have to sell my 10 bell 5 gong one that needs a full overhaul and a bit restoration. Better to cut my losses 😂

Have had at least one of them and love 'em. Lots of blue and I love the Moon phase feature. May well look out for one for my collection later on, but lots of sellers on eBay are looking for silly money.

I have a boardroom clock with similar movement. Recognize the plates and the hammerheads and the tone of the gongs. Anybody's lucky to have this sound as the heartbeat of their home.

Beautiful clock. The hour strike hammer sounds a little harsh…maybe the leather is missing or has dried out. Does the vial pendulum actually have mercury in it? Again, beautiful clock, you did a very nice reconditioning.

It's a beautiful clock. I had one years ago and sold it. Been looking for another one. I do like the case but am iffy about the bottom missing and a not original pendulum. That being said it's a very nice clock but not for 3,500. What's your realistic price?
