TL;DR of my answer would be: you're good to go 😄 In my current playthrough I'll be covering the question of spirit vs. int at length, but here's my take. First the playstyles spirit works for: Spirit is really great for small pulls (I'm talking really small, 1 or 2 mobs at a time), especially at low level. It reduces your downtime to basically 0 (not exactly super fast kill time tho) Spirit (in balance with int) is also great for tanking dungeons as you don't need to commit to consecrating on CD - usually 2 or 3 usages is enough to get and hold threat, then you sit on your spirit regen while meleeing Spirit on a ret pala is probably good because of the straightforward balancing act of all dps classes: speeding up kill time (str/wep dps) so you dont take as much damage (less healing required between pulls) which reduces your drinking downtime (further helped by spirit) That's where it stops, because Int is HARD mandatory for open world aoe farming. You have to press consec/holy light/other spells relatively often, so you arent gaining much if any value from spirit due to 5-second rule and will guaranteed die to 4+ mobs if you don't have enough of a mana pool. @whateverenjoyer if there's high competition in the open world, you can always consider solo farming stocks (25-35g/hr depending on drops and wool price) or SM (haven't tested extensively yet, but be careful - cath felt very dangerous to solo for me) HC drastically limits viable open world farm spots because we need really high mob density ("a good spot") but also can't take any significant risks (which means all good spots also have to be safe spots = they are all popular/crowded) I'll test out some more open world stuff soon tho!

@@octypve would be sick if you can do at some point a video about it. There is literally no HC Farm Videos out there. If you use right title and good tags I think many ppl will watch that over the next few years.

@Tacklesquid thank you so much for the encouragement! Seal of Wisdom is absolutely massive, and it's so cool that pala has so much power condensed around that 38-41 mark. I farmed my skullflame gold off straight up aoe pulls, but I did get lucky with a few blues. I think my highest value blue was a Warmonger that I sold for 55g At your level I would start to consider upgrading to a new shield (whether Aegis or a BOE) because Thermaplugg’s has really low armor relative. As you pull bigger and bigger, that armor will start to matter more and more And lastly yes, if I was on reg servers (or even if i played a mage on hc) i would definitely be experimenting with ZF solo! So if you're on reg, I think you should give it a shot! It's great gold/hr at 60 as well, so it's worth learning Thanks again for the kind words and looking forward to making more videos!

@octypve thanks for replying mate. I'll definitely upgrade my shield as I plan on running sm-cath very soon for the aegis and neck from there and to have a break from questing. I'm not sure whether Im going to raid or not at this stage. I've never healed in wow in 20 years but to get some t1 or T2 would be nice in the future and to do that I will most likely have to heal. I may just end up going for dungeon gear like light forge and cadaverous, get all my trinkets and shield options and hopefully by that point have enough gold for skull flame and flurry axe. I definitely want to become an aoe beast and just be able to log on and farm. Keep bonkin mobs mate!

I do have one correction. Noggenfogger > Deviates ;)

Good point. Everyone has a different journey in mind (for some people, it's the road to killing KT). But I think for HC especially, leveling is the most beautiful part!
