Very nice work. I used to cast for the Foundry and loved the little details that came with the renaissance guns..... in particular, the guy sizing the cannon shot - some of the Perry's best work! As for the zweihanders and halbardiers, they manly served in the front rank of blocks, in the same way as the Spanish Rondashier, but also served as a 'forlorn hope' - a seperate unit for 'Special' (ie. hazardous) duties.

16 men might be fine for a TYW or ECW regimental pike block but if we're talking Burgundian and Italian Wars, I'm with the Yorkshire Gamer. 96 figures is a pike block. I like your mixing the zweihanders and halberdiers in the front. It looks very good and sums up the suicidal nature of the doppelsoldner's job. I am still partly of the opinion they fought on the flanks though, that seeming to be the place where they might have more of a chance to batter down enemy pikes and give their own colleagues a weak point to exploit. If truth be told we'd probably find both ideas were used by different commanders at different times as mood and circumstances took them. Whatever. Great looking figures. An inspiration.

Nice one mate. I know they planned for these boxes to be universal across bother sides but I feel like they’re very much one side or the other based off the officers supplied and even down the “union” box having an eagle where as the other box doesn’t

I'm currently contemplating buying the confederate box as I've already got 2 regiments of union troops

Those do look nice. If I had any plans to do ACW in 28mm I would pick some up, but I’ve hitched my wagon to epic scale so I can do larger battles. Maybe if I ever get around to doing Sharpe Practice for ACW that will give me an opportunity 😊

Very nice unboxing. So with these two boxes you can paint them either as Union or CSA? Does not matter or are the design on some uniforms more of the unions style? You mention that you can, but I know many are looking for those small details in the uniforms that is typical Union or CSA. Great video, keep up the good work. 👍
