There are very few species who require substrate or caves but other than that no actually you would perhaps be pretty amazed at how much people just add stuff because of their own personal beliefs and such but when you are assessing these types of things lol their health, color, appetite, production rate etc. are the REAL indicators of what is truly best for them not what people implement in their minds as being such.

Thanks for this video I have had my sorority (5) in a 8g tank with gravel for the past week. Firstly should I add more girls or get a 10g tank and add more? Secondly i have gravel in there but would now like to remove it, would you recommend I take my girls out and then clean the tank? Thank you.

I actually have a video on sorority that’s super thorough 😎 I would honestly recommend just make the small jump to a 20 long it gives you some growing room so to speak 🥰 but my sorority video explains so much! However when you’re doing a deep clean and changes like that I would say yes remove the girls first.

Yes ☺️ it stays good in the fridge for 1.5 weeks or so but it can also be frozen for long term and thawed to feed BUT make sure its fully thawed or it will float on the surface which is annoying.

🥲 Wish I saw this video 3 weeks ago. I baught the new light and left it running like my old ones for 13 hours like always and no everything is overrun with algae. I figured it was the light, so now I'm setting it to 6 hours a day hopefully the plants bounce back. P.s. The plant with the new ones growing out of the leaves is Java Fern and that's how they propagate. It'll fall off soon enough and you'll have a whole bunch of them thriving 😅

Thank you for this video. I ordered a betta fish from Indonesia and it is with the USA transshipper now today on Sat. 6/24 but he says he will ship on Monday and I get it Tuesday. My question is, why didn't he send it on Sat (when he received it) when I paid for "Next Day Service?" 🥺 Why does my fish have to stay in the bag longer now 😮💨

He did that because there is no mail so the fish would just be sitting. So him shipping Monday makes 100% sense. I myself only ship Monday and Tuesday 😊 as for the fish being in the bag longer believe me I know ..... welcome to the world of importing ...... if you want better faster service stay away from Indonesia and find within Thailand and it will only be a 24 hour flight 😊

@@danielcassingham4811 Thank you for the reply. He wrote me back and told me that the shippers changed the water and that betta can be ok for 10 days in the bag. But about the post not running on Sunday I am still confused because I paid for UPS and I thought they ran on Sunday. Maybe I am mistaken and UPS doesn't run on Sunday.

I love the hyyger pumps I have the smaller one I think it's the 5 watt maybe super quiet and a beast for sure ❤I run one tank on it lol 😅 atleast for now, pretty overkill even for the smaller one but I'm sure I'll thank myself as I get more tanks 😅 my other tank is running the co op battery back up pump and I love those too!

I have a new hygger light and internal filter for my 10gal. Only been running 3 weeks. Also have the small 25watt heater when had 5 gal running, worked great. With the new light my new buce and anubias haven't started to melt either.

I have thought about making body language videos before however it is a highly complex process even with as easy as it might seem. Sure it gets easy overtime but there are so many things your watching for as well having them in a group dynamic is key in most cases as well as changing environmental aspects. Just the same though I'm sure in the future I will make them for you guys 💕

I don't actually keep tanks .... I'll probably setup a demonstration tank sometime this yes but I already manage thousands of bettas so I haven't done it. Perhaps in the near future ill make one and post it on here both for ideal sorority & for male

You have mentioned you don't like live plants and substrate, so for a sorority in a 10 gal what do you suggest to use for plants? If I use silk plants what is best to weight them down?

For imports yes it’s best to stay squeaky clean and lots of water changes. I am making a revised betta care video for my self bred stuff and steps I’ve been taking for ease of care. Just the same though weighted plant clips you can find them online silk plants work SOFT plastic plants work well. Large and bushy is what your going for 😊 and remember build up that center don’t build up the back and sides.

Do you have anything on telling the difference between male and female Halfmoons? I'm pretty sure I have a male but he's so good with other fish and he seems calm. Thank you for this video, I have my Betta in a 20 gallon and he's not going into a bigger one. I tried a 3.5 gallon and he paced the tank sides and seemed unhealthy... I put him in a 20 gallon and it has floating plants for him to rest. He seems very happy now and seems to do well swimming in the tank.
