what if i want the box to draw around the text as if it has a hanging character when it doesn't? example: multiple lines of text that are leaded the same. also, what if the text is left justified?

Thank so much, I like it when tutor goes into the nitty gritty of how it works. I was really having hard time understanding top and left, your explanation clarified the concept for me.

The mogrt file I want to customize does not seem to have an option for timing, making it unusable for my purpose. Is this unusual?
@AdrianMisiauke10 ай бұрын
The content of the video is nice but the quality due to the glitching is poor. This is probably related to your recording software. Unfortunately that's to irritating to watch.

I've been doing this since start and never knew it was named as "mogrt". For me this is overlays. And in Canva it is the easiest way to do this. 😊

I know this is five years old - but the content is as relevant as ever. Thank you for demystifying something that I REALLY should have looked at in more detail before now. Like all the best tutorials, this is actually useful in day to day production and will save so much time. Many thanks.

I'd love to see multiple lines inside 1 box WITH a rag. So that the box looks like steps. Now the "box" has more than 4 sides. With rounded corners of course.

Is there a way to do this with lines instead of boxes like the animation at the start? Would it be the exact same process?

Awesome Tutorial Small tip from my side - in this case I think we don't need a "if else" condition simply we can just type *100 at the end of first line to get the same result Hope that helps :)

This was great! Thank you! When you did the lines that automatically changes with the text, did you use a stroke path on a shape layer?
@jeorc2 жыл бұрын
I also have this question. I would love to know how to make that design responsive. I was working on a lower third and I failed miserably when I had to deal with a stroke path, thought of using a shape layer but couldn't make it work either.

Great video, I like that you care about making things beautiful and also easy to use and well-organized. I'm like that, too. I like how you edit, too, very clean and clear. I subbed and will look at more of your videos :-)

Brother I was so confused about this left and top stuff. I am not new to editing or compositing software but this simple two terms really was annoying. 7:38 This totally explained as the achor point which have default (0,0) is at the base of the normal text and totally ignores character that goes down to that base. So, it is good to simply go to the top and back down manually for vertical center adjustment. And another was to go to left and back to right manually for horizontal center adjustment. Adobe could bring other options too like bottom and right.

I have a text layer that has an alpha inverted track matte. I animated the text to go from left to right that creates an intro effect for that text. Now I exported that as a motion graphic template. But the problem that I'm facing right now is when I change the source text it's not hidden at the first keyframe (when it was left side). I'd like to move the text(change the xPosition) a little bit at that certain keyframe (first keyframe in this case) if it's outside the alpha matte layer. Please help me. I couldn't find anything about this else. Thanks for the tutorials :-)
