Another huge tip is to figure out how your vehicle handles in snow and ice before you get into an accident. If snowy, if icy, go to an empty parking lot. Get up to 20, slam on your brakes. Accelerate quickly. Brake and turn at same time. Don't be a jerk, and get permission, make sure the lot is empty. And if you do damage to property admit fault and pay for it.

I have scoured the laws and I cannot actually find any law which states that headlights must be white. I only find color specifications for other front lamps, which can be any color between white and amber. Does anyone have a specific code for head lamp color in Idaho?

Red light runners in Idaho is a new phenomena with the influx of people from the west. A recent trip though to Reno Nevada displayed a whole different driving trait. People were very respectful of the traffic signals so much so that it was startling to me. No one ran a red light! Why? What was the difference? Research revealed the difference was in legislation. In Idaho running a red light will net you a $90.00 ticket with some points off the driving license. In Nevada, the fine could be as high as $900.00 plus points off your driving license. This big difference in fines seem to be the difference. Safety in Idaho does not seem to be a priority. Sure do like the weekly ISP reminders though.

I just want to point out that he said measure the lowest point of the wheel. If that is the measurements then having low profile tires means that you're still legal because your lowest point is still the rim. If they want to fix the problem and have people get taller sidewalls then make low profile tires illegal. Don't interpret the law to suit your needs. Change the law to actually fit the needs of the people.
