Hello Ma'am. .. I have a question... how should the flame be high or medium high while steaming the idlies...?? I hope you plz ans..
@Padhus-kitchenКүн бұрын
Once water starts to boil in the steamer, pour batter in the idli mould, place it in the steamer n steam cook on medium high. (not too high or medium - little above medium).

Please someone guide me putting cloth or without cloth which one is better idli, and that cotton cloth is it reusable or one time use?
@Padhus-kitchen11 күн бұрын
With cloth, the texture of the idli will be fantastic. Idlis will be very soft. You have to grease the idli mould if you do not use cloth. The texture will not be that great but the idlis will be soft. Softness of idlis depend on quality of ingredients , grinding, fermenting etc. So you can make idlis with or without cloth. Cloth after use can be washed well with plain water and dried. It is reusable. You can change the cloth, if it is not good or after some days depending on the frequency of use. Hope this helps.
