I have one of these that was made in Italy if you mic it and run it through a PA you can use it in most smaller venues and it sounds incredible

To be completely honest the difference in sound isn't that big, sounds really good in a way similar to a regular short scale bass with a lot of fundamental but less sustain and I could see myself gigging with it, also I'm a really small dude so it wouldn't look too funny on me lol
