I don't get something with ion implantation. If ion implantation involves ionization of the dopants then how can a dopants that has been ionized(loses electron) come with an extra electron to form an N type semi conductor

Fair point. The dopants are ionized inside the implanter so they can be transported, accelerated and implanted into a substrate. As soon as they enter the substrate, they will grab one electron from the sea of electrons present in the substrate. They will still be highly energetic and will be stopped inside the substrate at a depth dependent on the energy they were accelerated to.

If you are going to bother to put out an ad video titled "manufacturing process and Fiber Lasers", at least make it worth watching. Describe the manufacturing process, or something about fiber lasers, not some stock footage like montage with stock music blaring over the top of it. This ad make me see coherent as less of an engineering firm and more of a marketing firm, don't be the Boeing of the laser world...

Yes, PLD grown layers can be as thin as 1 nm - thickness can be adjusted by the amount of material which is deposited i.e. by number of excimer laser pulses.

No, not the same. PLD is a UV laser-based vapor deposition method for particle-free, atom-by-atom thin film growth. PLD films are often 100 to 1000 nm thin and the material is transferred to the substrate by UV laser ablating a solid, premixed target. HVOF as a thermal spray coating method is used for metal and alloy deposition in much thicker layers and involves powders with relatively large particle sizes and higher temperatures. PLD and HVOF address entirely different coating tasks and are thus no substitutes.

@@CoherentCorp Is it possible to use this method to restore the journals of automobile crankshafts and camshafts, as well as restore the chrome surface of hydraulic cylinder rods with a diameter of 50-100 mm and a length of up to 3000 mm ? We use for this repair ARC spray method .

Correct, depending on the device an electropolishing process could be required. But the cleaning process after laser cutting with a femtosecond laser is reduced to a minimum compared to a fiber laser process, what would require in this case a manual deburring process.

The X-ray imaging was performed at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility Extremely Brilliant Source (ESRF-EBS) in Grenoble, France. This is one of the few facilities in the world that can produce X-rays powerful enough to perform the type of imaging desired by the team.
