My grandmother was like this to my mother. Everybody loves her and nodody knew of the abuse my mother went through until my mother started telling people but no one believed it because of the facade my grandmother weaved. My mother had 2 aunts who stepped in and started asking questions to which they were told to mind their business or " you dont know how she is". My mother has her faults but the torture she went through during her childhood is at a level no child should go though. Eventually she escaped to an aunts house around 19-20, under my grandmother's nose and when my grandmother found out her punch bag wasnt coming back, she trashed my mothers room to tatters.

I was in a head on collision on a small road yesterday while driving alone. The other car was sliding sideways (pavement was wet). We met in a blind curve and I didn’t even have time to slow down. I just remember thinking “there is nothing I can do.” I thought it was over. One of the people in the other car looked pretty badly injured but no one died. I have minor airbag burns. I really identify with what you describe here. I’m an MD and work from home. This information is not forthcoming and I really want to thank you for what you have recorded here. I’m going to try to find a therapist to help me through this. God bless, Rob.
