Hey, Great seeing that you are getting into the sonic unleashed soundtrack. A lot of people (including myself) would agree that this is the best sonic ost. The main reason is because of how diverse it is due to sonic visiting different regions and how it switches between fast paced day music and slow paced night music. My favorite track from the game is Arid sands, It is the level in Sonic Unleashed that is meant to take place in the Middle East. You should also react to Shamar Day/Night. Shamar is the made up country that sonic visits to get to the Arid sands levels and mainly serves as the hub world for Arid sands and unlike the level themes the hub world themes are different versions of each other. Are you planning on streaming Sonic x Shadow Generations when it releases in October? Apart from being a fantastic game, there are tons of bangers in Gens, as you've partly already heard, and the "Shadow Generations" portion is bound to provide even more! =D

To clear up some confusion: The first one was a fan mix using ripped game files, and since in-game it's all dynamic, they mixed it a bit differently. The 2nd one was the official soundtrack release, which are usually mixed a bit better and have the highest-possible audio quality, minus KZbin's own compression! =)

My recommendation for the next one : the Theme of Starfall Islands from Sonic Frontiers ( it's called just "Theme of Starfall Islands", and you can get it on the official soundtrack from the SEGA topic ). Why ? Because I don't want you to think of Frontiers as just the vocal tracks, the Titan boss themes are amazing, and so are the ending themes, but this OST is very varied, and there's nothing to showcase the feel of the game more than the theme of the setting ! After that, I recommend listening to the character island movements also from Frontiers. There's "Maybe If..." for Amy, "Blood Flow" for Knuckles, "Another Passage" for Tails and "Second Wind" for Sonic. These are also on the SEGA topic, titled like this : "Second Wind - Sonic Mvt." I recommend hearing them all in one video, it'll make sense ! And it's VERY cool to contrast them with the older character themes from the Adventure games.

I continued to play Stardust Speedway Act 1 in Sonic Mania (the smooth Past remix) because it was a game that demanded my finishing it! And the whole song could be heard naturally going through the act, too, lol. It used to be the original Past theme that was favorite, still love it, but Sonic Mania's version took over SO HARD.

I love the fact that Wacky Workbench is just an Under construction site that is a massive OSHA violation is hilarious. The place is that bad that it was not only build in middle of some ruins, or the fact being squashed works as an elevator sometimes, but also THE FACT THAT THE ENTIRE FUCKING FLOOR IS A HAZARD-

Most people hate Wacky Workbench as a level, the music is awesome, but if you played it, or watched someone else play it, you'd understand why. Also, when you see a song titled differently, that's just because the poster of the video decided to title that version of it that. The names of the songs are just the name of the levels they are from.

The US songs are actually super short, the videos you are watching just loop them a lot.
