1. If it was rigged how come Argentina lost the game against Saudi Arabia ? 2. The game against Mexico was a "must win". Argentina won that game thanks to Messi brilliance and without any penalty. 3. In the game against Holland Argentina were up front by 2 -0. The refree gave 10+ minutes of extra time which allowed Holland to equalize. If the WC was really rigged the refree would have never given so much extra time and he would have made sure that Holland could never equalize. 4. The only penalty that was controversial was the penalty against Poland. And thank God Messi missed that penalty. Argentina won the game fair and square. 5. All the other penalties that Argentina received were right calls. Especially the one against Croatia. If the goalkeeper collides with an onrushing attacker and he misses the ball completely, that is a penalty without a doubt. Experienced English refree Peter Walton explained that after the match. 6. If you say that the World Cup of 2022 was rigged than basically you're saying that players of Holland and France were part of that conspiracy. Argentina beat Holland and France after a penalty shootout, with Emilio Martinez stopping penalties from both countries. Are you saying that those players missed their penalty on purpose ? @depends on whether we take the shield or mls cup more seriously. I think the shield is likely harder to win since it’s over the course of 30+ games and teams play equally on the road and at home to achieve the shield. Also I think the Sounders won the Lamar Hunt Open Cup which is why they are in the club World Cup over LA Galaxy.
