I'm just about to re-carpet my new house, and have been researching carpet. That's what got me watching this vid, and I very much enjoyed it. Incredible how skillful these weavers were, and how mind-bendingly complicated the looms were. A great example of human capability and incredible engineering. Anyway, I chose a Ulster Grange carpet in the end. The best I could afford. Thanks for the upload.

Hello Town Television Owner, I saw your KZbin channel, you upload very nice videos on your channel. I have watched all the videos and noticed that all the videos are beautiful. But your channel has many problems. If you don't fix the problem then your video will not get video views organically. Because the KZbin algorithm works on key words, but there is no key word in your channel! Sir, if you do SEO completely then every video will get more views than the views you get sir. Doing SEO will help your video reach the right people and the views will increase constantly. If you want to do SEO on your channel, I can help. I am an SEO expert. Thank you, have a nice day

Thank you for posting these videos. Question - Town TV did a roadshow in an Andover pub at some point, is this featured in an episode and if so which one is it in?
@zaphod0001 Жыл бұрын
For a time it was a different pub every week, but we did a quiz once, from The Globe. But if you know the pub then you can search for it on the KZbin channel.

The year was 1994. Ep.55 should still be there, not sure why it has gone. I will look to see when I return home. However I will be putting them all off line in July as I intend to repost week by week to coincide with their 30 year Anniversary.

Not sure, Maggie who did the Chelsea Flower Show went on to manage a charity shop somewhere local to Andover, Sasha lives in London and Phamie i believe is a writer. So no one went on to present as a living. And no other info for the others.

Where was Andover show held here ?
@steveflambert88442 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure where it was held. Not sure why Alan did not say where it was. but seem to remember it was Charlton direction? The was a large bank along one side of the venue so it maybe near the running track? All a bit of a haze for me that day. I do not drink and at 3h motors my drink got spiked, but they did say that my camerawork that day was exceptional. If I fully remember I will post here.

Competition winner James Sherwood was my step-dad. He misheard and thought he'd won the airshow tickets so started ringing around getting mates to tag along. His face dropped when he realised his mistake (but paid for four tickets anyway). Him and my Mum loved the meal at Pierre Victoire which apparently is still open in 2022. James passed away from cancer in 2016 sadly.

Thanks for these uploads. When did Town TV expand into Romsey?
@zaphod00012 жыл бұрын
Hi. Town TV did some reports from Romsey but unfortunately not many. They suffered from a from lack of funds and were never really able to cover all of the Cable area adequately. They only every had one camera kit! Town TV were an independent company and not anything to do with the Cable company! The history of Town TV will probably never be told but suffice it to say they ran out of funds and the goodwill of the production team!

Thanks for your comments, a lot of stories from these days I am not able to see what happened next. I was the cameraman that day and remember your dad being so good to interview, such a great story and what an adventurous lad. As mentioned before it one of those stories that you remember and it is great that it will be made into a film, and so will look forward to that. I tried to find out if I could find any info on your Dad and all I found was that the book is £68 on Amazon! So thank you for your comments. If I may I would like to update the blurb to say a film is being planned? It was a great day to film. Regards Steve.
