I was drawn in (heh) by the art, but driven away a bit when I heard the early buzz about the game being very "5E D&D based." Did that end up being all that much of an emphasis?

The game is definitely easy to pick up if you’re familiar with 5E but is very different. Action economy utilizes action points and large zones and the game revolves around a Public Merit system that tracks your hero’s influence on the world. We originally started designing it as a 5E thing but we very quickly got away from it.

Stallone himself calls Rocky and Rocky 2 a love story that has boxing in it, and about the struggle to become better than the station one is born in and making the best of an unexpected situation. These two are not even close to being a martial arts movies. The rest... It's debatable.

Oh wow! Now I understand Michael Jackson’s song, Ben! (Not to brag but I was born in 77)..also, I’m now thinking Willard and Ben could’ve inspired Suzanne Collin’s Gregor chronicles (not at all the same except for mutated icky beings part) . This was fun 😎 👏

I literally picked this game up yesterday on a whim and am already in love with it Tron and Reboot are two of my favorite shows/movies and this game captures that feel perfectly!

BEST DM screen in the industry. I LOVED having the MidGard Map on the outside of the old Screen. Useful on both sides! Not sure about the Lineage/Heratige thing yet. Looking forward to the GMG. Yeah, I and my players need more subclasses.

Quick Encounters are invaluable for convention games, especially when the players get so involved in RP that the time slot fills a lot faster than expected. I love those moments. They're having fun, I'm having fun, so let's keep the momentum going.

While quick encounters are typically used for fights and dramatic tasks are used for other activities, have you ever used dramatic tasks for a fight (instead of parallels to one)? Almost like a dangerous dramatic task?

"Falcon is Captain America for some reason." Yeah, the reason is, it happened in the comics, and the comics have a history of promoting the sidekick to the main role. Hope, with Falcon it's not an issue.

you basically have to pay for the book twice. you pay for the Kickstarter and then they send you a voucher to buy the book at their cost but you already paid the Kickstarter

I got it on the kick starter and i have it already but was really jazzed to see someone do a play@@BAMFPodcast . I was looking up to see if anyone plays with the size and scale, instead of the setting rules of no size adjustments.

I use the hero system since 1992. I never use it for Champions or super. Always for fantasy, pulp, low fantasy and science fiction. The perfect system.

Cheers for the chatter. Looks a great baseline for the West without the Weird. Add pick-up trucks, semis and cellphones and y'd almost be there for running Longmire or (gulp) Yellowstone!
