This one sounds intriguing! I recently picked up her new Caravanserail Intense in a swap. Such a wonderful slightly fruity-cardamom coffee! Definitely worth a sniff!

it's a balsamic orange blossom with some slight bitter accents. Does get somewhat synthetic... Longevity decent though for this kind of scent. Out of the green collection the least interesting one. The Neroli Portofino-knock off is Neroli de Guatemala from the blue collection.

Nice review. I just bought this fragrance and I would consider it to be a very nice yet complex floral scent. Not spectacular but very nice!

As we say, the attic is full with these type of scents already…

Dude, give it some time to progress on your skin. There's only so many ways to do Neroli. We get it. It's what does it do once it mixes with your skin chemistry. The ambery background is really nice to sit next to the Neroli and Orange Blossom. It reminds me of Orientica Wild Neroli. There's a fantastic Ambery hue to it that sits just behind all those sharp top notes to smooth the fragrance out and give it much needed depth for a Summer brunch.

Plus even though i'm from the usa i live in the philippines and it's hard to get to get those samples or even some good fragrances that you can trust to be authentic and not knuckoffs/fakes.

Went through a Nicolai discovery kit recently, and this one was my favorite! I guess it made me realize I love licorice accords. Also the barbershop vibe and dusty tobacco just add to the sophisticated nuisance of this scent, for me. Been binging your videos since the start of the year. First time commenting. Your no BS policy is a breath of fresh air for the community! Great video, Mark!

Still waiting for that review of New York Intense by the same brand. This has to be my favourite fragrance of all time. I normally hate powdery notes, but I think Baikal leather intense is an example of how to use powdery notes correctly, elegantly and in a very sophisticated manner. I also sampled patchouli intense and patchouli sublime, which I mean... they're good if you like that kind of thing, but the patchouli sublime was nothing special compared to how much more expensive it was - at least I couldn't detect anything different, except that the first hour, hour and a half of it, had a very prominent mint-oil note, and then the rest of the lifetime was the same. I've also heard very good things about bois belize and riviera verbena. I am planning on getting Riviera verbena, bois belize, and neroli intense pretty soon.

There was something about the strong spice in thus that I couldn't vibe with 😕 One of my favorite, heavier scents from the house is Caravansérail Intense. It's a great take on cardamom, coffee, and plum notes. On the lighter side, Eau de Yuzu and Riveria Verbana are lovely citrus profiles

Their Neroli intense is the best I've ever tried

Hey Guru, have you ever tried out the Escentric Molecules line?

This is probably my favorite from the house. It reminded me of directly a fragrance called Une Nuit a Doha by Stephane Humbert Lucas..... That didnt have the licorice punch that this have but have the same structure of i think its immortel, it gives me a hay like honeyed tobacco feel, Cuir tbh i didnt get such. This is a odd one tbh..

I will never forget being at Sears back in the mid/late 2000's in Canada, I had a GF working at Sears and I cultivated a friendship with a gentlemen at the fragrance counter, he knew my GF worked there so he would give me tons of free samples and even full/partial bottles for free, he once told me you can tell allot by the cap on a fragrance, if a company puts allot of effort into the cap, that is a good sign because lots of houses neglect the quality of the cap, Hermes Hermessence is a perfect example, its got leather on it and its heavy, two hallmarks of a great house.

Moscow Mule is good for hot days, strongly hinting at D&G Light Blue. Here are the 'stronger stuff' you might want to try: Mad Madame, Citizen Queen, Midnight Oud, Another Oud, etc. I would not call this brand 'watery' or 'light'.

I thought you gonna trash this brand, I found most of their stuff pleasant but overly synthetic and possibly cloying. I enjoyed wearing a few of them but didn’t pick up any full bottles.

The name really threw me for a loop when I tried it. Especially in the opening. But a lovely use of coumarin that's for sure. Nothing screams leather or Cuba to me, but I'm still a massive fan of the brand.

One of my favorites! Great quality fragrances with uniqueness and complexity. Fantastic and kinda underrated.

Some tobaccos come across herbal, if you've ever been to like a native american ceremony where they pass the tobacco around, it usually smells very herbal, and I wonder if that could be what you're picking up. Aramis Tobacco Reserve is the only fragrance I've smelled that had a tobacco note like this, which is very unique, and I personally really enjoyed it.

Nicolai is a favorite house. I have six of her fragrances, but not Cuir Cuba Intense. The 30ml make it easy to explore her fragrances. They can be purchased for under $80 US at retail. The 30ml bottles, at least currently, come in similar packaging as the 100ml bottles. The only thing missing from the smaller bottle is the seal and cord.

Patchouli intense, cuir Cuba intense, new york intense are my fav of the brand

Great honest review! Too many influencers barring a few just talk crappy hype and say "I was sent this bottle, but this is my own opinion...". I did look at their portfolio though I do not have any, just going by the notes, I felt there was nothing special about this house. The citrus, ginger combo is so general and we find it in many fragrances. BOIS 1920 does a great job with some of its freshies I feel with similar note breakdown.
