They registered with the CF but no employees because they wanted a letter of good standing for tender purposes. The simple answer is no. But if you require a LOGS for tender, you must contact the CF.

It takes around 10 working days to get your CF number, however the department of Labour closes every year in March and will resume applications from 1 April, so there could be a delay! ... If you did your registration via Company Partners, We can issue you with a progression letter stating your application is in progress and you can use this as proof for business contracts and tender applications until you receive your CF number..🙂

The penalty fees are for not completing your submissions, the information you provide to SARS is needed for record keeping and other administrative tasks , so if you do not submit the information as a business, they will penalise you , whether you are making money, or not....
