@ceonationz
@ceonationz 29 күн бұрын
Technically you're right... But I wouldn't use the word "copied", I actually "learnt" from them and improved on the knowledge I had previously regarding mastering in FL studio using stock plugins... Then I also tried it out myself on my own songs and saw the improvement before deciding to share the knowledge on my own channel. And many people here I believe have also gained from this video regardless. So yes I did learn from them and I believe most of what we know in general, we learn from somewhere or someone.

I heard you're supposed to use control z? To select all the tracks and bring them all down equally and not just the master track to make head room. I don't know if it makes a difference but thats what I heard.

Social media will be a good place to start. You can check out some Facebook groups regarding music production in general, or you can be more specific and join groups regarding your choice of DAW or the genre of music you produce majorly. Reddit forums and discord channels are also very good options

How can I use fl studio in mastering voice
@ceonationz
@ceonationz 4 ай бұрын
I'm very glad you asked this question, It shows that you want to learn, which is a good thing. But regarding your question, first of all, mastering isn't what you do to just the vocals. Mastering is done to the entire beat after it has been thoroughly mixed and you're satisfied with the result. The purpose of mastering is to add that final subtle push to the entire song (subtle because all your major changes should be done while mixing) and majorly to prepare your song for distribution to different platforms. So your question should be "how to use FL studio for mixing vocals?", and this isn't a question to answer here using text, but fortunately for you, I have already covered this topic on this channel. There's actually a playlist regarding vocal mixing. You can check that out.

Nice first time I have seen this method demonstrated. Yeah I guess using gating/compression you can narrow down the fundamentals including if you duck the threshold to get rid of lower noises.

Videos like this are kind of a trap for people wanting to step into the music production light. If you reach for AI or MIDI packs to generate chord progressions or even melodies, I highly suggest you spend your time on just basic music theory. Then you can watch breakdowns on certain songs, and what makes their melodies & progressions unforgettable. No hate to you or your channel but telling someone to chat gpt a chord progression doesn't help anyone learn anything.
@ceonationz
@ceonationz 5 ай бұрын
Yeah, you are absolutely right... But instead of seeing it as a trap. This video was geared towards people who are actually new to music production and have no idea about music theory. Learning music theory is definitely a plus, but in the early stages of music production there's more "important things" to focus on than music theory and that's where MIDI packs and AI comes in. And by the way even on the professional level, there are still many producers who use midi packs and AI in their music production workflow. I'd say it's just subjective, what matters in the end is the Music itself.

Been making music for roughly 3 years now and still don't know crap about music theory. Got the basics, like what chords are and stuff, but aside from those it's all just by feel. I like to phrase it like, "rather than thinking, 'this would sound cool because...' I just think, 'this could sound cool'."
