I am not getting the discount global protect option

i recently reset my windows 10 pc to factory spec. i then re-installed my company globalprotect vpn. i then noticed i no longer could use my home internet, but only my work remote system. i have to disconnect the vpn for my internet to get back online. i've been wfh for 2yrs, and this has never happened before. either an update after the reset or maybe an update i need to get back (this is the first time i've had to reset my entire pc in 5yrs). its extremely frustrating to not be able to access my home internet while working. any solutions?
