As a native French speaker, I can tell you that Chalamet speaks very fluently and has a perfect accent. However, not speaking the language frequently, he sometimes cannot find his words and replaces them with English ones. It's like listening to a native French trying to joke and sometimes mixing English words into the discussion.... If he stayed longer in France, he would speak perfectly. For example, his sister, Pauline Chalamet, spoke the same way, but living in France she speaks now French perfectly.
