Nice. Quick questions: 1. How is it holding up three years after this build? 2. I'm thinking of maybe going two-feet off the ground to increase the head pressure. Do you think that makes it too prone to tip? 3. How did you locate the notches in the center of the cross pieces? Thanks. dp
@DrWD404 күн бұрын
I moved from that place last August and it was still holding up great. I actually hooked some drip irrigation lines into the facet for easier watering. Head pressure wasn't the greatest so maybe your idea could help there. They were slow drip lines so I didn't mind. I didn't feel any risk of tipping. If you have enough support, it should be fine. If you're worried you could add some concrete supports to the base. As for the notches, if I recall, I just measured the midpoint, overlayed the pieces, and outlined the edges for where i wanted it. Depth was just half of the 4x4 so that the cross would be flat.

The problem with that approach is that is doesn't hold the barrel in place to help prevent tipping. I was going to build a table but went with this design (albeit from a different source with a few assembly changes) because of that.

Thank you for the video. Explained wayyyyy better than my professor. Can you do a video on the cortical pathway for speaking a word seen or heard and memory
@DrWD40Ай бұрын
I don't have a video directly covering those exact pathways since there is a ton to unpack there. Sensory input would come through the primary visual cortex or primary auditory cortex. The association pathways would converge in the Wernicke's area where meaning would be given to the words. The Broca's area is then the motor area for directing the muscles involved in speech production.

So, When you have a stroke. My understanding is that an area of your brain dies (say for lack of blood flow / oxygen). What happens to all that dead tissue? Does it just stay there rotting away? Do the cells in your body work to remove it? I hope this series will touch on the topic.
@DrWD402 ай бұрын
Great question! Initially, the dead tissue remains in place, but over time, the body's natural processes (macropahges) work to remove it with some scar tissues sometimes remaining. After a stroke there can also be some neuroplasticity where other cells try to take on the roles of the damaged ones. I won't have a specific video on this but hope this helps answer your question.
@tentigers73352 ай бұрын
@@DrWD40 It does help a lot. A stroke is a bad thing for sure, especially when it doesn't present with the typical symptoms. Resulting in questions like "Do you not feel safe at home"? Anyway, I won't need to think about brain rot now :)

Nerve agents like sarin, soman, VX and Novichok work by binding to acetyl cholinesterase. Organophosphate and carbamate pesticides work by the same mechanism. Remove Acetylcholinesterase from the equation and you get the signs and symptoms of nerve agent poisoning. (Uncontrolled muscle contractions, fasciculation, pinpoint pupils, salivation, lacrimation, urination, defecation, gastroenteritis, and vomiting) Antidote: Atropine treats those symptoms, and oximes pry the organophosphate off the Acetylcholinesterase.
@DrWD402 ай бұрын
Yup! Also botulism toxin (botox) disrupts vesicle release and the SNARE proteins leading to no ACh being released. Tons of interesting mechanisms in this process!

@@DrWD40It’s interesting that out of all the chemical reactions in animal bodies, this particular pathway seems very vulnerable to toxins.

The Gotra or lineage of the child is due to the father. Why? The answer is in this video. Because the father is responsible for the sex or natural identity of the child. If stronger a man's X,If it gets entangled with the X of woman , a daughter will be born and if the Y of the man gets entangled with the X of the woman, then a son will be born. Therefore, the genetic identity of the child comes from the father's side only. That is why only the male (son) is the bearer of the lineage.
