I think that spring came out because I have to hit the rope to be able to lift the motor.

Wow! I have never done this, but from what I see, I never will. Your lack on muscles clearly shows you sure can't use the tools. This is truly discouraging! Oh,,,,,and you sure are not a beast! A beast would have taken another approach!

Can't you just tie the cable into a knot instead of using the keeper? I just bought a Lowrance pull cord to keep in the boat just in case.
@Reelbassin8 ай бұрын
not sure maybe. This solved the issue of the OEM one giving out on me though.

Thanks for sharing. Where did you get the mount that attaches to the Rote Hite? I have the Lowrance ActiveTarget V1

when you order, they give you the one specifically for the ghost and/or active target.

Some outboard’s produce over 3,000 pounds of force at the lower portion of the transom, so the weight of the engine out of the water is nothing compared to that, in short transom supports are nothing more than a scam

You can change course lock with the remote, and it doesn’t cut it off. Also you don’t have to be at the pedal to do it.

For guys watching this looking for tips on chipping: That's not how you chip concrete. Always chip the edges first as they'll break the easiest. Driving your chipper directly into a block will get you stuck at worst and do nothing at best. You can see einsten here get stuck a few times in this video. Don't put so much pressure on the tool or you'll fuck it up over time. Let the tool do the work. If you're gonna use that much force you might as well use a sledgehammer. There's no rebar in those blocks anyway. If people saw you chip like this on a construction site they'd instantly know you're green (inexperienced).
@Reelbassin2 жыл бұрын
I def learned the hard way haha. But i got the job done and had way less cleanup than I would've using a sledgehammer.

I have the Ultrex on mine, and cannot wait to get rid of it. Absolutely the worst performing trolling motor I have ever owned. Steering is super slow, steering response with the remote has a serious delay, and it's completely gutless. Mine is an 80 lb 24 volt, and with a 20 mph tail wind it will barely break 1 mph on a 20 foot aluminum mod v boat (which is very light). My 12 volt 55lb Powerdrive I had on my much heavier Pontoon boat would push 1.7 mph easily with zero wind. This Ultrex is a turd. Also not a fan at all of not being able to remove the foot pedal completely. It's bulky and gets in the way, especially if you don't ever use it, like me.
@myrlc46232 жыл бұрын
I guess it depends on your flavor of candy 🍬 I just love the ghost trolling motor it provides a much superior functionality than the ultrex. Is it over priced?? Yes but hey you have to pay to pay!! Great video much appreciated

Do you have a video of handling the bottom row?
@Reelbassin2 жыл бұрын
the bottom went down a few inches underground so it was a bit challenging to remove. I didn't have to go much deeper than level with the ground though since we were going to pour cement over it anyhow. I got out what was easy and got below level so it came out smooth.
@desertrider3252 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. So did you just use that same rotary hammer. Chew it up level and below. Than just mix a few bags and pour it?
