This Skyline was never repainted- you're mistaking it for Glen Sucklings later build GT-R, the Red Baron. The Croydon Skyline still exists, exactly in the condition seen in this video.

bad ass car, but lookin at that ticket I would say 10 seconds, not 9, fast as hell in either aspect but 9.994...that's damn near as close as it gets and being a track man 1 second makes a HUGE difference!!

Yep, with the exception of the exhaust, still street legal in NZ. Had indicators, lights, wiper, handbrake, etc etc. Wow- what a day this was!

Ha ha- yeah, the Supra was making more HP when I retired it than the Skyline was in this clip! No, the top speed run was strictly an invitational, private event, held for filming of the still-born Redliningit project. But what a day! More answers- no, this was before the 250kph drag setup, just after the Holinger was built and installed. The sixth gear was pretty tall anyway and i don't think more RPM or gearing would have helped much, we were nearly out of runway as it was!
