What type of salt did you use? Kosher, table or sea salt? 🌷

In the past, I poke holes inside the pumpkin, not piercing through the skin, put in the “ casserole “ and put the lid on top to bake. I never precooked the pumpkin and it was always perfect in an hour. The sloppy Joe idea was new to me as I have made this for more than 30 years for my family.

A little humor here, when you roll up the dough it looks like an anaconda snake.😮

OK, Again best recipe ever. I am like a Steve Jobs I like to make modifications so I did. What I did instead of cooking the mashed potatoes I just said a prayer and threw them in along with all the other ingredients. I also added 1/2 a cup of sour cream. O my goodness it kicked it up I do not know how many notches. Here is the final recipe. Trust the process you won't regret it. 3 cup hot milk 2 Tbsp. instant yeast 1 cup butter 2 tsp. salt 1 cup sugar 1 1/3 cups instant mashed potatoes straight out of the package 1/2 cup sour cream 5 beaten egg yolks 2 tspn vanilla 7-9 cups flour

I can't have sugar (diabetic). Could this be made with Splenda. I would assume so since you are not fermenting the root beer. Anyone try it?

There's no way I could knead all of that dough at once. I would definitely have to cut it half and knead both halves separately

Your recipe is not inspired by Jeni’s. It is Jeni’s! Would be great if you attributed her properly for her effort creating this recipe.

Your recipe calls for 7 to 9 cups of flour but on the video you state that you always need 12 cups. You also state in the recipe "(just regular yeast 'non-rising')". I have no idea what that is. I've never heard of yeast that isn't supposed to rise and it looks like your dough has risen in the video. Could you clarify? I'm already at a disadvantage here because we can't get the best flour in my location so I need all the help I can get!!

I canned several quarts of charro bean soup earkier this year using my new Presto electric canner. Its become a favorite meal for my wife and I. Im keeping an eye out for bacon on clearance and when I can get a lot, I'll make many more quarts of this delicious soup . As you have shown in your video, its quite easy to make.

I use Saigon Cinnamon (Vietnamese Cinnamon is also another name) in my cinnamon rolls, if you've never tried it, I highly recommend it! It has a higher cinnamaldehyde content, so you can use a little less if you want. The flavor really pops!
