I have a question, what resin do you use to 3d print your keycaps. Also do you ever laser engrave your keycaps

We use Anycubic tough resin and Sirayatech blu resins. My laser engraving tests lead to poor results. A fiber laser leads to ok legends but those are out out my budget (I tested it with a third party) :)

Best keycap for Dactyl Manuform?

This comes down to your hand size and preference. We had some customers with small hands that liked the DES profiles (this does not work with all dactyl, depending on how curved your is), the convex DES are great for the thumb cluster. Most people stick with DSA and XDA.

First, it has to be MX low profile (not Kailh Choc). Then I personally like the gateron brown (tactile) but I don't have much experience with low profile switches

I've been thinking exactly on using DTF UV for custom keycaps! I think yours is the only video yet that goes into this. How do you like it? Can you feel the texture while you type?

This what I've been waiting for. However... It doesn't seem easy to find: 1. keycap set for 108 key full size 100% keyboards 2. KAT profile with custom legends 3. the price DECREASE hint SALE for this project! :) Thanks for the update. Please check your website links etc and make it easier to find this information. Right now, you click the Custom Legends > Shop and you only get: Keycap Set with Custom Legends: with the keyboard layout broken, and missing the KAT profile.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the 108 key full size 100% keyboards layout will come a bit later. Full keyboard implies doing the modifier keycaps and I need more experience with that before I make it available. For KAT I will add that to the lsiting right now but it would be limited to 1u (for now)

Those printed legends look promising! Have you experimented with how well (or not) they print on colored or dark keycaps?

Thanks =D Yes, I printed white legends on black keycaps and they turned out great! When printing on darker keycaps, it's harder to get the legend's colors to come out good. I need to experiment by adding a base layer of white ink and then adding the colored ink on top of that. A lot to do! haha

I didn't pick a good board to show as an example. in this case it does not make that much sense. but a lot of people that have a Moonlander keyboard remove all their function keys to train themselves to use a smaller layout (it’s more ergonomic and a good way to test if you want a smaller keyboard before actually buying one)

I stuck around! Re: UV Printed keycaps I downloaded your template from Google Docs from your website. I assume this was version 1 of the your template. Honestly, it's janky and pretty horrible. When you have things worked out, please provide a template that either looks like a keyboard and we can put in the information, or if need to stick to that square thing, at least have a template where every square has the middle marked out. WASDkeyboards does their template really well. It has the safe zone for each keycap and everything is marked out really well. For the template to be useful, it should be easy to line up multiple keys together and see what they are supposed to look like. And obviously, the different sizes of some keys need to be done, like shift, backspace, tab, ctrl/alt key sizes. It's nice to see some of your progress. Keep going. Good luck!

This is fucking amazing dude. I was playing MW3 earlier and while sliding with my left control key, i was getting some pain from where the key contacted my pinkie finger. Being able to slightly modify the angle or location of the switch would be perfect.

That is very interesting! These adapters should work on modifier switches, if you then replace the keycap with a 1u keycap. I'll have to test this and make a video about it. Thanks for this great comment :)

Loic at 3DKeycaps is great! He recently worked with me to develop a set for both the Keyboardio Atreus and the ZSA Moonlander for full size MX switches utilizing the Lame profile (like the ones pictured) with extended sidewalls. Excellent product, very communicative founder. I highly recommend their keycaps!

When will we see some slate/grey/black keycap colour love? Purple, with whatever shade it may be, but the classic keycap colours need to make an appearance!!! I assume the printed legends will be able to be in multiple colours too, right?

Those are great questions! The grey/black colors will have to wait for now. I focused on bright vivid colors and now will go back to focusing on the UV printer haha Yes the UV printer can do colors! So custom legend colors will be possible (when the magenta ink does not clog.. haha)
