sometimes it may be hard ground on the top but as you work on it pushing it brings the water to the top .you only have to get stuck a little bit at first and buy the time you have tried to get out it's to late the sucktion has got a hold of you. it's ok all you lot saying how did it happen it can and dose to the best of people

Hey did u here what one quad trac driver said to the quad trac driver? It wasn't hey I'm stuck maybe we better get a tow truck or I never said u might get hung too! lol listen up your fellows when u get stuck or even u can't move anymore just stop. Stop! The longer u wallow around is the longer ur going to be getting it out. Trust me don't try and be a hero. I've gotten a trackloader stuck 2 times in23 years and 10 of them wasmucking out and filling sediment ponds for builders. And I stopped and we was able to get the 973 out with a small dozer. I learned that when we was trying to fish a excavator out of one.i was young then and all the old kept saying see what happens when up dumb shit. Yeah the guy did it cleaned his stuff out and took off before we got there. We called him aqua man

It is beyond me how you could be dumb enough to get a 400k 600 hp case ih quad track stuck in mud. It is also beyond me why anyone would be stupid enough to drive anything that heavy into a mud pit, quad track or not.

Phillip Charlier Though backing the recovery up closer to the tractor and the recovery truck may have gotten stuck in the mud as well, the tarmac supports a lot more weight then mud and that tractor is insanely heavy. Using the truck's winch to pull the tractor out was a wise decision.

The more cable pulled out of a winch, the more powerful the winch is. The cable on the drum increases the effective gear ratio, as well as risking damage to the cable. I would have pulled the wrecker forward until my winch drum only had one wrap on it, and pulled from there. The thing that killed me about this fiasco was that nobody decided to pull the blade off of the stuck dozer - it weighs tons, and it's carried by the front tracks, making it harder to move the dozer forwards.

You're not very informed when it comes to traction? Anything big and heavy that goes into a mud hole will get stuck. Even a dozer which btw is considered a tractor in the world of heavy equipment.

Wrecker driver is a complete amateur. He should have used the quad tired tractor as a dead man, instead he puts it on the front of his truck and only runs two snatch blocks, lucky he didn't get seriously hurt. All that iron sitting around as a deadman and he still ended up breaking his rigging, ridiculous.
