Yeah, Amazon doesn't sell automatic OTF knives anymore, they have a couple that open out the front but you have to push them all the way manually.

Yeah they do it just depends on where you're from when you're on Amazon I can tell where you're at and whether or not you can buy them I can still buy them though and I live in Washington where it's illegal it's August 2024

Realistically most people will never use an otf for its intended purpose (self defense). I’ve owned a few nice ones and there definitely is a quality difference, buut most are used as glorified box cutters if we’re honest, for that the $40 would be fine. Yeah the steel won’t hold an edge as good and will be harder to sharpen, but for the casual user the amazon one will be perfectly fine. I felt stupid buying overly expensive otf knives when I realized I could get good fixed blades way cheaper, and even the best otf can and more than likely eventually will fail. Hell I bought one of the Amazon ones just to fidget with. Plus I felt stupid buying knives that cost hundreds when I could’ve been buying ammo and guns/parts.

I first seen these on a movie with rocky as the actor where he carried his own bourbon in the bar. Bullit I think, it was a gorgeous red knife and the blade was almost as thick as it was wide! I told myself right then I’d own one of those, then I seen the price! $400 I almost soiled myself. It was a Microtech and it is a really nice blade but I can’t justify the price, I’m not a hired killer or a lotto winner.
