I understand and appreciate the sentiment, but can we be a little bit realistic? That kid didn't get that way all of a sudden. If it's because of the father, then maybe Andy needs to take the father to the wood shed first. If the mother is letting the kid run wild, and the father has been going along, then maybe Andy takes the father to the wood shed, then the father takes the mother to the wood shed, and then the son gets fair warning: "If this behavior continues, you're next."

Love this! ❤ It still amazes me how much vitriol is directed at this man when he is such a great guy, an awesome role model, is strong in his faith and is an elite quarterback who is so dedicated to doing his job well and is always striving to improve his performance every day /every season. I was bummed when he left the Vikings but I see great things happening for him now that he is with the Falcons and has another coach (besides O'Connell, McVay, and the Shanahans) who truly believes in him.

The fact Netflix gave us a glimpse into what I know Kirk Cousins does with his little boys as often as he’s able and Kirk’s faith in Christ is definitely unexpected, but it’s so beautiful. I’m a Seahawks fan, but this scene was simply beautiful and shows what an example he is to both his young boys and the world watching this documentary. I also love how he teaches his son and re-affirms the reality that nothing, even the pain of a playoff loss, is able to shake him when his when his life is built upon the Solid Rock of Jesus Christ!

Hatred for the Irish was fostered by the English and later British Crown Because the Irish people dared to stand up against centuries of brutal invasion, colonisation and ethnic cleansing. Every English colony where the Irish were shipped to - it was the same. The English and later British Crown sought to take Ireland for themselves. Hell they even still claim part of it. Can you imagine if another country had tried to take part of Britain, there would have been outrage. Yet Britain did exactly that to Ireland and they still claim part of it and their right to do so. Hitler was a big fan of the British Empire. It's really not too difficult to see why.

I find it pretty ridiculous that these days we just consider stereotypes to completely baseless simply because they are stereotypes. Who has a better handle on the nature of a 19th century Irish immigrant? You, or the people who actually had to deal with them? Even now they are fighty, they are drinkers, probably was a lot worse back then.

@emcc8598 If the British hadn't taken over our country and bled us dry of our resources, exported our grain while our people died in the famine years then we wouldn't have had to leave Ireland searching for work in the first place. Arrogant brits have left a trail of destruction behind them everywhere they have tried to colonise. Trouble in India, Hong Kong etc. The plight of the Palestinians and their unbridled slaughter at the hands of the israelis is another mess caused by the brits. In 1948 the British gave Palestinian land over to the jews to establish a Jewish state there. Land that wasn't theirs to give away in the first place. Palestinians came home from work to find their houses occupied by these settlers. Many Palestinian women and children kidnapped by Israelis never to be seen again, how would you like to come home and find someone in it and as a result you are destitute and forced to live in a restricted area where you have no human rights.

@emcc8598 Жыл бұрын
The main ones who push the indentured servitude narrative are the same who rounded up and transported 10s of 1000s of Irish men women and children against their will to the early English colonies where they were worked to death. Not everyone was legally indentured. Certainly not the Irish under English rule. The same who brutally invaded, colonised and ethnically cleansed Ireland in the 1500 and 1600s.
