After a bit of time I'm toword the acqusition of Kali LP-UNF ....... BUT !!!!!! ... please read ..... 3 Topics for me , Please ! So, I like these LP-UNF by the reviews, so far; but I'm in Europe and there are two potential limits. First the cost; OK they are cheap but in Europe there is about 110 dollars difference !! , It is A LOT if we are speaking of this price target. 250 dollars against 360 dollars !!! The second is the fear when they could break. Ok , what if they break? Should I send them in USA or you have a secondary KALI's assistance location in Europe ? ANd for last , the frequencies, yes. Seams these have a great frquency responce for its size but I don't think there is a right sub for these yet. All the subs of KALI seams quite loud and non proper. Maybe the one from the IN-UNF .... maybe. ......... ANd, oh , there are few comparisons that could be talked: Fluid Audio FX50 V2 , FOCAL alpha shape 40 ... and so on..... Thanks for reading

The video is so good! I'm very tempted by those Adam d3v but I was just waiting to hear a more critical and less advertised review . On the Measurement Report I read that: "The D3V is a small loudspeaker so max SPL below 120 Hz drops considerably. This can be solved in two ways: use a larger loudspeaker or add a subwoofer to take over low frequency reproduction." So I wonder what could be the best sub for a little speaker like those , but keeping the same overall quality .

I had them but returned as some of them have a defect where at low levels, a low pass filter muffles the high end. It sounds bad and Adam have already released a statement about providing a firmware update in February about it.

@@ju1ceaudio nice... I get it . Indeed I'm wondering what is the best comparison to them. Well I got them : Kali Audio LP_UNF and the Fluid Audio FX50 V2 are the best references to compare. Aside from any comparison, the Fluid Audio FX50 V2 shine for their power and the ability to connect easily a subwoofer without any audio switcher . Can you compare ? Do you have a general idea about it ? thanks
@jjoohhhnn
@jjoohhhnn Ай бұрын
I appreciate that you're comparing subwoofers, it doesn't seem like there are many people doing that on youtube, especially not the budget entries. I like your review, but I think the strongest contender in the "under 500 subwoofer" category is the Audioengine S8. I got one, and they claim it's 27-180hz +/- 1.5db, and I think it's more like +/-5db, but mine is a decade old now, so with the new revisions that might not be a lie? I'd say it cuts in at maybe -10db at ~23-24hz. Not a great sound, but that frequency response at that size is pretty great, especially for that price. I know audiophiles don't like audioengine very much, but the subwoofer is great, and at those frequencies any sound at all is what most consumers are going for. Regardless, great review. Covered the features, relative to the specs which is a great format, and the in-person stuff about vibrations (or lack there of) from the Kali is really interesting, kinda like the Kef 6.2 for 1/3 the price, and you did it in half the time of a lot of other creators. Really great work.
@ju1ceaudio

Thank you I really appreciate your comment. I personally haven’t using any audio engine gear or even come across any so far. But yes i really love the sub.

While searching for a sub to use under my pc desktop, I found that Focal Sub One ticked all of my boxes. It can be put under a desk (not been able to kick the drive as that only should do that 😄), it has enough power, high pass filter that can be selected to be bypassed and low pass filter configuration through a potentiometer. Oddly, the two last features were difficult to be found. Also, while researching I had found that a sub from another company added distortion on the output signal send to the main speakers, while another didn't add so much. I will not named them as I cannot remember them so well right now. This made me to try to minimize such a possibility by selecting a brand that is involved more on electronics and using passive high pass filter that is simpler to implement. I do not know why this sub has not taken so much attention (positive or negative), but I would recommend to have a look if you have access on it.
