It’s great they brought back Bruce Vaughn who’s largely behind this land! And I believe he also worked on New Fantasyland and Pandora.

Guaranteed this area will be pumped and pumped by social media and youtubers as the greatest thing ever...then....when you see it in person .. you will be disappointed. Just like EVERY other time.

Not gonna lie, i'm nervous for this land :/ Disney has been fumbling so much these past few years and I am NOT healed yet. Disney has a chance to make an industry shaking darkride with Encanto. I'm talking trackless with multiple paths and re-ride ability. We haven't seen ANY of the other family members' rooms and technology has obviously advanced enough to pull this off with a finale that has every vehicle in a heat can meet in Antonio's room after having followed other family members into their rooms to help prepare for the ceremony. (Looking at you Mr. Dr. Prof. Lanny S. 👀) If Disney wants to regain consumer interest and trust, then they're going to have to pull out all the stops. Can you Imagine the conversations at the ride exit!? "We followed Pepa into her room with the tornado! What about your car?" "We followed Mirabel into Bruno's room! The scene with all the rats was Crazy!!" "Well WE got pulled into Isabella's room, and that Palm Tree Elevator was the coolest thing i've ever seen in a darkride." ...I rest my case.

Nice to see Disney going back to their classic and timeless roots. The last thing Disney needs is another area that will become outdated within five years. The carousel and Casita have the potential to look very pretty. As for the new “Indiana Jones” ride, I would imagine it would be akin to how that attraction is in both Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. In that the ride layout is identical, but the temple is aesthetically unique, and features a different story. Even with both those versions being 20-30 years old, they are still among the most popular in their respective parks.

I am very excited about this land! I think I am tied in excitement with Indiana Jones ride and Encanto ride; they both sound great! Although a carousel is not on the scale of those two rides, I am glad that they will have a carousel! The whole land looks that it will be fantastic!

What worries me is that there is no mention of live animals in this new area of Animal Kingdom. I was hoping for a major reptile house or another exploration trail with tropical animals.

How could Disney not know the exact location for monstropolis, if construction is supposed to start sometime next year. ? I feel like if a company is going through some sort of change they should be informed.

I would love to see them announce a brand new Avatar stage show coming to the animal kingdom.

Yeah, right in the next five years. I will believe you if you said the next 10 to 15 years the way they built stuff. The new universal park that’s coming in May will have an expansion before we see the villains, land, etc. as for the idiot that announced it still do you want to believe because you are a pixie duster?

OK, heads up that cars themed attraction is going to fail and it’s going to be reimagined soon after. If they destroy a beloved area of the park like the rivers of America and Tom Island, they have to make damn sure they’re gonna hit this ball out of the park and a trackless ride. It’s showing me already that this is not gonna be a thrilling ride like the concept art is suggesting. Think 🤔 harder Disney, ps, also taking away walk-through attractions. Is not a good idea, find balance.

I’d feel better if they only changed one Splash.

I love Tianas, if I were to update it to fix any gripes I would have with the story/what we see in Disney World/Land I would: 1. Add a little more animation to the firefly screen, maybe the sillouttes/shadows of the some of the animals we find + another shadow or two that will make sense later. 2. Include Dr Facilier's shadow (not himself since he's dead anyway but we can have his Shadow escape looking for revenge. Have the Shadow be hanging around before confronting the guests before the drop with the last screen with Odie. If you want to include Friends on the Other side, you can here and before the drop (before seeing the Odie animatronic as she overpowers the Shadowman using some more projection effects on the lift hill. (The lift hill turns into the fight basically with projections of the Shadowman dodging Mama Odies light up effects with her defeating him near the top of the lift hill.)

While the ride does fit well at Disneyland. It needs some modifications at Disneyworld. For example, I think if they swapped out some bands for others with different musical genres as well as make the drop a bit more menicing, it would be an improvement.

The biggest difference, and most important for me, is that disneyland doesn't have that awful fence on top of the mountain blocking all the scenic views of the park!

I wish there was more difference between the 2 rides but atleast theres SOME variation. I also prefer the 2 seater layout at WDW & way less water soakage!!!

Love that Mama Odie calls us beautiful ... I mean she's blind, but it's the thought that counts.

One thing you didn’t mention which isn’t about the attraction itself, the context of where the ride exists in Disneyland. It’s located in the “outskirts” of New Orleans Square, Tiana’s restaurant is 50 yards away, the Haunted Mansion right in between. The ride itself shows you Tiana’s restaurant which ties the ride to the outside land (similar to radiator Springs racers showing you the town in the ride while you walked through the town to get to the ride)

4:13 watching the feature when Disney first showed the making of, I was wondering why this specific scene didn’t show up in Magic Kingdom. This was a big reveal during that show so to not get it at MK is very disappointing.

1:32 this is my only gripe with Magic Kingdom’s version. No good story setup. Tania’s easily missable dialog on the lift hill feels like she’s giving us directions based on information we should already know. Why they didn’t have the story setup in the queue over the radio announcement is a big question for me. They could have easily advertised the party and that Tiana needs help looking for a band to perform.

IMO WDWs decor is better outside with greenery and Mama odies decorated bottles in front, no weird cave at the start, no sudden jump cut from act 1 to 2, no lake cabin, lots of emptiness in the frog scenery, no leap frog fountains, total darkness between the special spice and mama odies final scene.
