This movie, AND The Never Ending Story, are the reason I grew up so quickly. Secret of Nihm, Bambi, and All Dogs Go To Heaven, sped it up lol

Im late to this and it may have already been explained by now but not everyone in the hotel is there to be redeemed. Husk and Nifty are there because Alastor summoned them there and Alastor has never said he wants to be redeemed, it's highly likely Alastor is not redeemable anyway.

In the original story, Hook didn't like Peter because he was taking kids' lives that's how he stopped them from growing. Neverland was more like purgatory they were in limbo

In the South, teachers paddle students who misbehave. I didn’t know until my family moved to Tennessee when I was in 6th grade. It’s seen as a normality here.

Every few years, Disney would re-release the animated films in the theatre. Then video came in, and we lost that.

7:00 This was the start of what eventually was called "Yellow Journalism," when newspapers printed fanciful stories that weren't necessarily true just to entertain the public and sell more papers. I think the papers were printed on the cheapest paper and it turned yellow within a day or two. 9:33 Captain Farragut was an actual Naval Officer, a southerner who fought for the Union during the Civil War, but he wasn't killed during an ocean expedition looking for sea monsters! Walt Disney really innovated with his beautiful underwater photography in this film.

Jules Verne had a certain fascination with the United States and post civil war. For instance the main characters in From Earth to the Moon were retired civil war artillery men. The main characters in The Mysterious Island were escaped Civil War prisoners.

4:17 - not just any spot in Pacman, they were in the central room where the hero can never go. It is the only place the bad guys are safe. 24:28 - you can hear the voice actor pouring her heart into the grief 30:19 & 31:36 - Fix-It Felix can fix anything. Even a broken soul.

I still have the first 2 live action Scooby-Doo movies on dvd and on the director's commentary on the first movie the director said the reason for Pamela Anderson's cameo is because her sons were fans of Scooby-Doo.

This movie is one of my childhood favorites. I just love the casting for Mystery Inc, especially Linda Cardellini (Laura Barton in the MCU) as Velma and Matthew Lillard as Shaggy. Side note: They actually DID make graham cookies that looked like bone-shaped dog biscuits for humans that were flavored like cinnamon based on Scooby Snax.

India, you're really great, I love watching your reactions. KZbin always hides you from me but I always find you again 😂 Have you ever watched "Avatar: The Last Airbender"? It's probably the best animated show ever made. 3 seasons, 20 episodes each, 20min each, I would love to watch your reactions to it.

Hellborn species like imps, hellhounds, and succubi don't have souls and were never human. They are born, grow up, have kids, and if they're lucky, they die of old age. Just like humans. And just like humans, they can be killed by other things like being shot, burning to death (just not with earth fire, which they're immune to), or suffocation. Because they have no soul, when they die, they're permanently gone and have no secondary heaven/hell to be sent to. They're also a much lower rank than "Sinners," who did used to be human. Souls are used as currency in hell, and only humans had them. Also, sinners might enter hell with powers that are personalized to the sinner and hellborn don't have powers like that unless they're royalty like Stolas. Also, sinners kinda "respawn" when they're killed in hell unless they're killed with an angelic weapon. Higher demons like Stolas also need to be killed with an angelic weapon. Stolas is immortal. Blitz isn't.

Fun Fact: The musical and artistic style of Blitzo's hallucination is very similar to that of the 1982 drama film Pink Floyd: The Wall. Blitzo and Fizzarolli's psychedelic designs are likewise influcend by the asthetic of 1930s cartoons 👑👑👑
