And what if a family are out because both parents managed to get a day off their jobs, and their single baby which they can just barely afford to raise on dual wages working for a large retailer, happens to crawl under that boulder and set off the trap? Good job, now you're a murderer. Not worth the risk, just use the supermarket, also keeps you safe from the very very high risk of food poisoning which usually is the outcome of.eating dead animals found outside. The stores make sure their suppliers use medication and vaccines to.keep the food animals healthy for you. Eating a squirrel from the woods is insanity, you have NO idea what it ate during its life, it could have been surviving on garbage and pesticides. It could have just eaten poison before dying in your illegal and dangerous trap. Stop trying to cheat the system.

I loved making hickory nut milk. Hickory trees are extremely common in Pennsylvania where I am, and there are millions of nuts just sitting there unused, because it's too hard to break them open and pick out the tiny pieces. The nuts are not shaped properly to just be picked out like that. You have to crush the whole thing, shell and all, then boil it in water and make hickory nut milk. It will smell and taste amazing, like pecans. I wanted a very deep hollow log to use for pounding, because the nut pieces will bounce out and fly over the sides if it's too shallow. You can't use a lot of force to pound it if you're constantly stopping yourself from making the pieces fly out the sides. But if it's very deep, then you can use all of your force. I've been looking for some easy way to get hollow logs for this, but nothing seems to be easy. I did see a hollow tree that had been cut down, and I wanted some method other than a modern chainsaw to cut it - basically, I wanted primitive tools only and not power tools. It would have to be something that someone could accomplish without using money. I've compromised and gotten some minimal tools like metal hand saws.
