I had from new an '89 model 911 with the works spoilers. My 1984 BMW 318i made the Porsche feel very dated; a fabulous engine in a squashed beetle that gave me a shock spin on a track day after many confidence-inspiring laps (never lift off the throttle when entering a corner on the limit!); I dared not push it on the road after that, given that you often don't know what's around the corner. When I sold the 911 through the dealer, he let me drive home in a 944 S2 3-litre, which was to my mind certainly a better car functionally, but had - like so many German cars - no charisma.

The car doesn't look right. You can totally tell an image is superimposed on your showroom floor. The proportions are wrong. Dead give away is that there is no walk around..

We are not trying to hide that fact that it’s superimposed. Please check the rest of our channel and our other videos on newly released cars and you will see that we do this with every model release as Porsche Centre’s will not see the cars in person until a few months after announcement.

This is pointless you've literally walked 20 yards to dedicated porsche dealership chargers. Could you show us how to get a charge in the pouring rain in the dark in mid wales with a touch screen on a pitiful 7 kw charger. tell us why the charger refuses to connect and you have to pull the emergency release cable There are plenty of creative porsche centred swear words and spittle flecked invective i could teach you if that helps ???

Hi @duckman5642, this is down to laws unfortunately but you can turn these off and add one of them to the diamond key on the steering wheel to make it easier, a tech tip video on this is coming soon.

Really nice presentation. I drove one on a test drive, really enjoyed the 4 e hybrid model. Going back to try the 4s e hybtid 540ps but i need to test that new suspension, unfortunately i didnt get to test it last time but hopefully i get to this time. Most likely i will be ordering one before the end of the year. 😊

Hi - I am unable to complete setup on the PCM because at the Porsche ID screen the ‘login’ option is greyed out and unavailable. I can log in as a guest, but not link to my Porsche ID account. Before my account was deleted from PCM, to solve problem with Porsche App. didn’t reflect charging and fuel consumption,…. Any thoughts? I called Porsche Latvia and they had no clue. They sent an email to Porsche Germany, they also don’t have success with this problem solving issue.

Hi there. Thank you for your question. Being in a different country there could be local differences. The first thing we would check is if the car had a data connection, which in the U.K. is indicated by a LTE icon along the top/side of the PCM display. A lack of data connection from the integrated sim would also explain the remote app information not being displayed (although depending on age this could be unrelated). If you can provide more information we might be able to help further but it might need to be seen by a Porsche Service Centre.

For Macans without the Surround View option installed, does the diamond button have the option to turn on the backup camera?

According to our Porsche Pro, without having the additional Surround View option, the selections you can make are: PCM Functions - Source Change, Repeat Driving Instruction, Next or Previous Track/Station Cluster Functions - Quickly change to any of the binacle displays e.g. Maps or Media Vehicle Functions - Disable Start/Stop System or Lane Departure Warning

I think it’s a cool trick but makes the ride feel artificial, losing touch with the grounded driving feel. Plus it’s expensive if it ever breaks … I opted out of PAR in mine.
