30:01 In what sense could "perspectival-ness" and "raw epistemicity" differ from each other? Surely if awareness is occurring in any sense, then there must be some qualitative content of which is made aware, right? It's hard enough as it is to differentiate descriptively what exactly it is about say, a thought, that makes it "less vivid/more structural" than that of sense data, so it seems ill-informed to sink this much faith into these reported "MPE states absent any content" rather than seriously leaving open the idea that they're just attending to deflated/simple forms of qualitative contents. To claim that MPE precedes perspectival-ness is to gut out the only sense in which it would even be conceptually coherent by which to ground phenomenality's subjectivity, it's akin to kicking the can of qualia's subjective character down the road when one deflates it into yet another phenomenal character absent an explanation of any mechanism for epistemic access in such a way that's intrinsic. The notion of "MPE states existing absent any qualitative content or perspectival-ness" is simply one of the most theoretically wacky things I’ve ever heard in my life, or perhaps I just need to try mushrooms or something.

Good evening Tobias Thank you for sharing your time and work, the recent gathering of like minded minds was a wonderful exploration of cognition, I've included those presentations in a library I've been building over the last few years, I take no credit for anyone's own time and work that is put in creating a individuals media. I'll post a link and you can see how I state that a the top of the channel. kzbin.info/aero/PLEwpMD47png4zQ9gXjbsyHZCFC0gaeyRf&si=DFF3_bgiWF2IbPn2 Everything in the library I've personally watched from beginning to end, and have made sure to notify creator's that I've included their work. Peace

Goliath coming, son, Blessed be the gatekeeper, the shepherd, the Anglo-Saxon chants of unimaginative men. Blessed be the teacher, the mortician, the weary-eyed, sundown professor, Who would rather fellate the emperor from dusk till dawn, But not to speak a word of truth and tell him that he's bare. "Why do people believe weird things" like "safe and effective" or "the benefits outweigh the risks"? These were very dangerous "conspiracy theories" that came from places of authority.

31:16 RRPP doesn't explain producing art, art is about expression, contentment, pain and experience. It is a result of the need for symbolic immortality, not for the survival.

14:42 how the hell one can propose hypothesis without actions? It's oxymoron to think hypo"thesis" can be without actions. "Thesis" literally means predicting outcome if a certain action is taken.

I don't understand why Mr. Newen always refers to the homing behavior of desert ants as an example of mental representations. The fact that the ant can return to its nest on a straight path can completely be explained by path integration (which doesn't depend on representing the "start" of the path in any way) and environmental-based orientation, which in the case of the ant works by the recognition of perceptual cues, which, in turn, are produced by the immediate environment. Where's the argument for a need of a "nest" representation?

Fascinating lecture. It took a while for it to really come alive, but it really did come alive when he started presenting his own model of pure consciousness.

"The brain is fundamentally action-oriented and specializes in managing the organisms interactions with the world". I've always found it ironic that Clark (and just about any other philosopher of mind/cognition) fails to acknowledge how his own philosophical exploits fail this very 'dictum'.
