the story in this game is so weird and a bit dumb lol, so cloud gets this sword from his best friend that is super important and he gets rid of it because he finds a better one 🤣🤣😂😂

Hello I need to post an Update to my thoughts. In my thoughts video I state that this game has potential and if Paradox and Nimble Giants Games updated and patched this game fixing the issues then it would be worth the full price. Since I originally posted the video both companies have made statements that they will not be providing support for this game going forward. This saddens me and thus I have to say this game is not worth the 30$ asking price. If you can get it on sale and you are interested in a star trek grand strategy game, or just a new star trek game wait until this game goes on sale and then pick it up.

Spent about 80 hours on the game. It quickly became one of my favorite entries in the series.

Enjoyed video, great review just one thing... your mic makes it hard to understand you at times and is too sharp, you can use software to smooth out the peak and make it softer so it doesn't blow our ear out. Good Luck with future vids man

Wait till early November. They are releasing a huge update that adds so much I can't believe it. You'll get 5 points for mind/body traits, and traits cost 1-3 points. New victory condition; more tomes; another race; another civilization type; equipment crafting; and a lot more.

38:54 It’s not actually diminishing returns. Diminishing returns means that eventually you want to stop buying more, because the opportunity cost becomes too high. That’s not the case here. More is always better, until you start getting screwed by rounding (if that happens). Someone explained it 9n the subReddit some months ago.

How many stockpiles do you have failing to collect from the farms and how far away from the farm building are they? You'd be better off putting the farms with their buildings on the same side of the sector as the stockpile which collects ((or not!) the produce. Look how often the farm is backlogged with 100 units of food waiting to be collected (which is when it grinds to a halt), and you only have one medium stockpile and its transports to shuttle back and forth. And then they need to do the trip in reverse to get to the mess hall! That is why things backlog briefly after each meal cycle. Ah, I see you cracked that one. The unused fields just need the farm to power cycle. It's not a bug, it's a techie meme. "Have you tried switching it off and on?"

I'm very surprised that you aren't getting starvation problems with four sectors open and no drones. Having to use "ground" transport to move food from your food sector across another and into the one that needs it generally causes problems unless you intervene manually and frequently.

The fields of both crop and algae farms which stay unpowered (usually when they have been added later) can be cured by what I believe to be a developer's practical joke - you just need to switch the whole farm off and on again. It is a tech support meme.

There was a red track mark through the grey electrical storm directly towards the resources you had prioritised, from the group of resources by Perenti 85, and you completely ignored it! So That is how your mining ship Schwarzenegger got destroyed, doing exactly what you told it to. No good getting annoyed at the game - you have to watch mining ships like a hawk, as unlike cargo ships, which only go to and from the Tiqqun, or science ships, which just go exactly where you tell them, mining ships move from resource to resource on their own. The white ice cloud is quite safe for smaller ships but tough on the Tiqqun - it is too big to slip between the lumps of ice easily. BTW, if you put all your probe launchers and EVA airlocks in one sector, with the tech lab, it will get a speciality benefit. Docking bays for mining ships and science ships can go there too, along with a cargo ship, especially for shipping resources to set up science investigations or experimental colonies (and retrieving the colonists afterwards). You can fit 5 space units along the bottom edge and four along the top if you avoid roads down the sides of them. That means only one sector to house colonists and keep a supply of the materials they or science ships may need. One dock in the farming sector to bring in ice, and one in the industry sector for bringing in raw materials (Iron, Silicon and Carbon). When you have a lot of cryopods to collect and have a population sector, those will want a dock and cargo ship(s) too. Clearly, while the industry is still mixed with space, the cargo bay for that can also be there. Specialisation brings useful bonuses. Recycling brings a penalty because people don't like separating their trash, or even the suspicion that it might end up on their plates (try feeding exclusively from mushroom walls for a while and they will express their discontent). Extra hours causes accidents and overwork is worse, although whether a perfectly predictable outcome can be called an accident is open to question. Only "Optimal" is a safe working condition. Likewise when all the power suddenly goes off. Always ensure you have enough spare workers in the sector before activating any building or opening a new sector. People dislike "workers first" (or any delay in opening any cryopods) because they might possibly have a friend or relative being left in storage, plus it has hints of elitism, or workers favouring their own kind.

Your ideas of tech improvements are really well thought out. I hope the developers at least think about something along those lines. Great video btw. It is hard to find Sins 2 content on YT. Thank you.
