Yes!! I'm also emotionally aware & can't move on until I address my feelings. I also want to work on remembering to be more positive in the morning (esp since there is sm going on in the world). I'm in school rn, and some days I wake up and just go "ugh" bc I want to go back to sleep😭. My day never feels the best when I sit in that energy, so I try affirmations, list things I'm grateful for, or find something to look forward to. It was also relatable when you talked about how frustrating it is when your free time is cut into!

During that down period, it did shift the world in a different way. It still affects how things are done now. I wish when I was younger I seen & was around more business owners. I think school stifle/ hinders thinking. For example I've had thoughts of entrepreneurship now that I'm older looking back at my childhood growing up in the Caribbean. My thoughts now are how i could've taken used items and opened up a thrift shop. How i could've encouraged my grandparents to grown vegetables and have community get involved to have its own farmers market because there were no grocery stores nearby. Another thought was the Harliquiem books (slutty romcoms) could have led to a bookstore/library/community center which would have benefited the communty. I can go on but I'll stop there to prove my point that school hinders creativity and I don't want to say thinking outside the box but observing your surroundings and seeing what's lacking or what's needed. Just saying...

How coincidental I say "slow down" all the time since I moved to this small rural town in Wisconsin. Nothing is going anywhere, there is no traffic, so why are they driving fast and doing things fast here. Am I in NYC, oh my giddiness. I enjoyed this conversation. I'm in my 50s and I earned my MBA in 2009 although my background was IT. Looking back it made more sense to pursue a technology degree instead because the demand was there. Whereas an MBA high paying jobs are Project and Program Managers which I was not aware of then. I think there is a disconnect with degrees and jobs. For example if you get a nursing or teacher degree work in the field and discover you dont like it there ought to a road map about what other career fields you can do with the degree to pursue it. Just my thoughts. Thanks for sharing yours. ❤😊 I would like to add that over the past 7 years I've worked multiple areas and now I'm working at a library and this is the job I desired the most.

A 4 year degree wont cut it. Neither will a masters. 2 paths either work your way up in a big company or specialize in something. Dont get a general masters degree get a degree or certification in demand. From there keep learning new skills.
