The bowl from the minutes #4:06 it is not a from Tibet, it is a Cobrebati style from India. Tibet did not make any kind of bowls, the bowls simply got the name from the tibetan sellers. And the estimation of 800 years old, this is just an estimation that can have a big gap of time. In my opinion, looking at the hammer marks which are visible, the shape which is not a common shape for very old bowls, and looking exactly as cobrebati bowls which are vintage bowls, made in the last 100 years.

I find it shocking that so few people have been here . I think it is really important that people see this vid if they are buying Tibetan bowls .

Aside from synthetic bowls ( crystal frosted white, Crystal Tones alchemy).. and metallic Tibetan bowls (copper/bronze) and Tuning forks.. Any thoughts on just playing a good recording of frequencies (FLAC) via a good audio system (ex. Pono Player) on quality speakers (Klipsche , KEF, AudioEngine A5)? Or are the bowls doing something more than just generating sound?

Hello Frank! Please explain the difference between a bowl from Assam and Manipuri bowls? They look quite the same, from what I have noticed, the manipuri are shorter and more open in the upper lip. What puzzles me, that are manipuri and assam with similar decorations, couple of lines to the outside wall, mainly to the upper wall but also going down to the middle of the wall, and two concentric circles, inside. I have one bowl similar like the description that I gave you. It is thicker rim and with grooved lip, 7cm height. Is it Manipuri or Assam? Thank you for your exquisite videos and explanation.

I had the pleasure of meeting Frank in the late 1990's. I went to a health food exhibition and there were a number of seminars, one was called "Healing with sound and colour" and out of interest, I went. It was held in a small auditorium and as the lights were dimmed, Frank began to play his Tibetan singing bowls while Roerich's paintings were projected on a large screen. I was amazed when I realised who the artist was, because I had spent a lot of time in the Kulu Valley in the 1970's and had visited The Hall at Naggar, built by Colonel Rennick and later bought by Roerich, where he died in the 1920's. The Hall was full of Roerich's paintings, landscapes of the Himalayas many of them of Naggar and the Parvati Valley, and as the paintings flashed on the screen, I recognised some of the locations. I spent at least an hour with Frank after his show, he was particularly interested in me, not only because I knew all about Roerich, but because I recognised some of the locations and had visited his house a few times, something that at that time he had not. He had a wonderful selection of prints for sale, that he had bought in Russia and I bought quite a few, many of which I still have today. Frank was an interesting guy and I hope that he got to visit Roerich's house in Naggar, because as I told Frank, "it has an energy all of its own".

This brought on an amazingly vivid astral experience with cymatic mandalas coming in and out of vision and at one point an almost dazzling golden light around the crown chakra. A marvellous meditation - thanks indeed! i'm just reading your Himalayan Sound Revelations (expanded 2nd edition) and thoroughly enjoying it.

There is something about this sound that is healing to the body and soul
Paul's guitar sounds like Peter Green's out of phase Les Paul from 3:40 mins and again from 8:00 mins. Did Gibson actually wire a few Les Pauls this way? I have a 70's Shaftesbury Les Paul deluxe which is wired out of phase like this and makes me think maybe this was copied from a Gibson model

Vamos, não chores. A infância está perdida. A mocidade está perdida. Mas a vida não se perdeu. O primeiro amor passou. O segundo amor passou. O terceiro amor passou. Mas o coração continua. Perdeste o melhor amigo. Não tentaste qualquer viagem. Não possuis carro, navio, terra. Mas tens um cão. Algumas palavras duras, em voz mansa, te golpearam. Nunca, nunca cicatrizam. Mas, e o humour? A injustiça não se resolve. À sombra do mundo errado murmuraste um protesto tímido. Mas virão outros. Tudo somado, devias precipitar-te, de vez, nas águas. Estás nu na areia, no vento… Dorme, meu filho.

Thanks for uploading - Koss is using that tv yellow Les Paul Junior in this - it’s featured on the Hard Rock Cafe collection clip here on YT - I know Juniors and he doesn’t go to a neck pickup because there isn’t one.
