I did not go but have seen some interesting reports on KZbin. The new mugs are liquid cooled and very angular euro 6 I suppose, looks like they will go out of business soon with those models- no style. The new Honda is a long stroke single with 70’s styling cues and retails for £3,949 also made in Japan, I am planning on getting one when the new reg kicks in in February. The Blue Pacific Media KZbin channel have a good video on it.

my height is 1,90. Will I fit the tracer 7 or should I get the tracer 9? I also live in a small island where u can't fully open the throttle. Everyone's saying that I should get the 9 gt. What should I do?
@DickWhistles2 ай бұрын
I’m not sure if you’d feel crunched on the 7 as tall as you are. As for the folks saying get the 9GT, they know nothing. I really can’t abide the motorcyclist that insists on buying (or advocating buying) the highest capacity bike available. It is foolish and irresponsible. If the Tracer 7 is too tall, try the T7 ADV model. That would fit like a glove and have the same performance. It was too tall for me at 1.79… Hope that helps. Let me know what you decide.

@DickWhistles2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. I am a fan of that engine in the Trident. If the geometry and wind protection are a fit, the only hurdle would be the asking price. These days, I’m afraid to look. Have you tried the Tracer 7?

@@DickWhistles I was able to find mine used for a decent price and I had to fit a shorter windscreen to get rid of a little buffeting but aside from that it's a great machine. Me and my mate drove 4 hours to Birmingham and spent 2 hours at the show, then drove 4 hours home. Why only 2 hours you ask? Because it was shite. The shows been on a steady decline for years but this year was a waste of time. The majority of the hall is used for stunt riding and the gig stuff. It’s hard to see the new models of bikes, for the amount of kids climbing all over them. I’m all for encouraging the next generation of riders but some parents really need to control their offspring. The amount of stalls selling unrelated products is increasing every year too. Stalls selling leather couches, phone charger cords and other shite. There’s my rant anyway. I’m sure I’ll have a load of disagreements but it’s only my opinion.
@DickWhistles2 ай бұрын
That’s THIS year’s show? That sound like my experience last year. Thanks for the input.
@lostsoul37232 ай бұрын
@ yeah, this year is like last year and the year before that. We won’t be bothering next year. It’s annoying when you’ve paid together in and trying to look at bikes and there’s kids hanging off them. I saw a kid using the exhaust to stand on as he climbed on and his dad just stood there and allowed it. Ahh, it’s not for me anymore, not the day out it used to be

I think for the price you'll be able to pick up a used one in a year or two, it's a bike worthy of uprgarding the suspension and brakes to make the most of the motor. I think the ergos and looks will appeal to a lot of older riders, or folk that were weened on 80's Japanese bikes before the 400cc sports era. Metallic green, gold mags...what's not to like? Just needs some tweeks to make this a really fun back roader, that could also be your daily for work....

I don't think the NEC has been good for the past 20 years. Each time I've gone, it's been extremely disappointing. Bike meets to see bikes and dealerships to see new stuff. 😊

Woah, 20 years. I thought I was hard to please. I agree. Meets and dealers. Diversify events to meet expectations. Thanks for your comment.

I’ve not been to the NEC show for at least 5 years, so I’m going next weekend. I don’t really have a lot of local dealers so for me it’s a good opportunity to see everything in person in one place. I’m keen to see all of the lower capacity adventure bikes 300-500cc, as I’ve been considering the CF Moto MT450 as my next bike, and that same engine appears to have been used in a similar models by Keeway, Mondial, and Moto Morini. There seems to be a lot more manufacturers going this year compared to previous years.
@DickWhistles2 ай бұрын
That’s the trick. Trade shows were established for folks who don’t have a network of dealers near them. You’d think manufacturers would realise this and make it more accessible by keeping costs down for attendees. Thanks for your comment.

I have been for years.. But slowly getting very disappointed with it. Plus the extortionate parking fees.. I have, among others, questioned it. The caravan show and others have free parking..
