Great demo Cameron! I noticed your polishing patterns have evolved. I’ve been doing left to right and back, around 5-7 passes each grit. You’re moving much faster too, with less passes. Gonna try this technique! Also, I am an octopus. Thank you for your inclusivity!

Would an orbital forced rotation machine work as well or would the rotory be the best option.

Would you be able to use this on Quartz or just granite?
@CameronDemille-ui2up
@CameronDemille-ui2up 11 ай бұрын
It technically works on quartz, but it will not match the original factory shine. It will end up too shiny. if you are polishing the entire top, then it can work

I’m a carpet cleaner , how hard is it to pick up this skill
@mbstoneprofessional
@mbstoneprofessional Жыл бұрын
Many have picked this up quickly as this was designed for others who don't do stone restoration to add this as a profitable service. It's not too technical in process. However, we offer an intro to stone restoration course if you are looking to expand in that direction.

Will this paste work on any color granite?

These demonstrations always look easy when done in these small sections, that are not that dirty to start with. I will like to see it done in a more realistic larger square footage commercial setting, with real dirt and grime and where doing it this manually on your knees, is practically impossible.

This floor was filled with dirt and grime in the grout. We will be posting another video that shows the dirt that was removed with MB-2 before colorsealing. We do recommend using other means that hands and knees when cleaning the larger area in preparation. The racatac cart works great when you are ready to colorseal the grout! Saves the knees and makes it easy to move around in a larger area. You can always give us a call at the office and talk with one of our restoation professionals. We have 2 in the office that have been in the restoration business for 20+ years.

You are correct. Many years ago I before I had any equipment I would clean big floors on my hands and knees...it was brutal. I've been using ColorClad for around 14 years and This Old Grout (Modern Stone Technologies) for 5 years before that. Most people (like me) doing commercial areas are using either a truckmount or a portable extractor with a "turbo hybrid" that is pressure washing at 1,000+ psi and vacuuming simultaneously. I just did 700 s.f. with a floor machine and a shop vac this past Wednesday with my nephew and I in a day. We've done tens of thousands of s.f. of ColorClad including lots of showers.

How should we tell the homeowner to clean and maintain the counters afterwards. Should we tell them to use neutral cleaner, wipe foods off, etc.?
@mbstoneprofessional
@mbstoneprofessional Жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Clean with a pH neutral cleaner like Easy Oxy or MB-5. If they end up needing something heavy duty you or they can contact us to help determine what they'll need.

I will help thoes that want real answers. 1) wet sand it . hit it with 400 then 1000 grit sand paper , in circular natural wave of the stone , wash it good , then go rub some dirt in it ! Yes dirt . That’s where the magic happens . Vote this up so ppl who need this info can see it.

Hello. I poured harpic toilet cleanser on bathroom floor and it left a white stain. Will this method help to remove the stain?
@mbstoneprofessional
@mbstoneprofessional Жыл бұрын
We would have to see some photos to determine if this will help or if the damage is extensive and will require more abrasive means to restore.
