Would love to see Barker and Vortex team up with Galder on the new Old Man's Child project, health permitted. Hope he recovers ASAP.

Nicholas Barker inspired me to jump from thrash punk to extreme metal. As a drummer, it’s not an easy jump to make. I have been honored to be inspired by such an amazing drummer.

Nick, you are a legend and a truly underrated drummer. I've been a fan since the early 2000s when Dimmu's PEM was released. Your drumming is therapeutic to me and I can fall asleep listening to your albums. I wish you the best with your recovery and hope to be able to shake your hand one day.

Beautiful album, with an excellent balance between wickedness, emotions and instrumental technique. The guitarist is phenomenal and reminds me of a mix between Ihsahn from Emperor and Yngwie Malmsteen while managing to maintain his originality and character. The guitar solo of Into the Silvery Shadows of Night is one of the most beautiful solos I've ever heard.

Nick is my favorite drummer. I was lucky to meet him at my job at a music store when he was with Dimmu. Galder, Vortex, and Galder were there. I spoke to Galder and Nick but was too scared to go up to Vortex. He was looking at all the bass guitars. I wen to see them that night. If I could start my band and had the good fortune to have him as my drummer, I would do everything possible to keep him in my band and TOTALLY Barkerize my riffs. I wish him good health. I really hope he gets the care he needs.

As a teenager back in the day in South Africa, I became a massive fan of your work with Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir. Youve aways been one of my top 3 metal drummers. Ive helped you now with a little something. Get well soon Nicholas!

I haven't heard *Nick/Dimmu* yet, but speaking of *Behemoth* same's with me, out of all 6 Behemoth Albums I've heard of *Apostasy* & *Evangelion* are my absolute favorites with the Drums.

Puritanical was the first black metal album I ever bought and 99% of that purchase was based on Nick’s drumming. I force fed that album to anyone in earshot. I just by chance happened to move in next a metal drummer that would play that album so loud we could hear it while he was mowing the lawn. If by chance you’re reading this Nick, thankyou for sharing your amazing talent with us. Best wishes on the road to recovery and we hope to see you one day in Adelaide, Australia👍🏻

Nicholas Baker is a true master of his craft. I saw him live during his time in Dimmu. Baker has a great ear, great touch, and a facility to utilize them both. I love his drum sound. He has a great ear for cymbal choice, head choice, drum tuning, and whatever else he thinks of when delivering his great sound. Without question if Nicholas Baker made bird's eye video's of him playing along to all the songs he was on during his Dimmu years they would receive an ridiculous amount of views. I would love to hear him talk through the gear of that time too.

I had a feeling he didn't realize that he was well respected worldwide. I listen to his Dimmu stuff a lot. Drumming on those 2 albums was epic. I've always said "If I can play Maelstrom Mephisto, then my drumming life is complete". I just saw a video of them playing that live......... FASTER than the recorded track. INSANE!!!!! Tons of respect here.

Great band, shitty venue. If you aren’t 6’3” you are out of luck, you won’t see shit. Three of us developed horrible sinus infections (and one, pinkeye) within 3 days of this show. Unsanitary, cramped, nasty. Easily the worst venue I’ve ever been to for a metal show.
