Really appreciate the narrative analysis for this solo. Also, been collating places with VGM jams as its become a pretty tight knit community in the states. I have heard of one in Brighton, was wondering if you knew of any as its hard to get any info from across the pond.

Hi, thanks for watching :) I'm not the best person to ask as I don't live in a big city so there's nothing near me. Definitely something I will investigate this year though

Unfortunately that's the key the original is in - it's either Cb or B which isn't much easier

I didn't realise anyone would want these on Spotify - would that be useful? I'd have to see if it was even possible since I didn't compose this music

This sounds like it should be notated twice as long with the tempo set at 200
@vgmrealbookАй бұрын
You could notate it like that for sure - it was only my personal choice for this backing track to make the rhythm section double time, I think the original recording implies the notation that VG Lead Sheets chose

Se você escrever quais são as escalas utilizadas, maior, menor harmonica, pentatonica, bebop etc, seriam muito, muito interessante. Obrigado pela transcrição!

Thanks for watching! A solo analysis is definitely something I'm considering doing in the future. Patrick Bartley does have a few videos in his channel about how to solo in case you want to hear direct from the master

Is there a version in the key of concert C? Five flats is too many 😬
@vgmrealbookАй бұрын
It's definitely not the nicest key - although I've heard some piano players say that they like keys with lots of black notes. What instrument do you play? I'm sure you could work it out with some practice :) Also, if you click the VG Lead Sheets link in the description you can find the sheet music in other keys
