I got a sample kit of T&H shave creams, and Apsley was my (and nore importantly, my wife's!) favourite, so I ordered a full shave soap of it. Great performance, I keep it for special occasions.

I just tried the lime scent of the soapfor the first time. Very nice. Soap is an excellent performer. And I did pull up my old Sheraton for the shave..

Hi! Unfortunately I don't have the matte black one. I personally think that the original color one(INOX) likely will keep its color and look best over time even if treated roughly or gets dinged. Just personal opinion. Matte black looks amazing, but anything that's painted or coated has a chance of chipping over time.

i proudly own 6s. My go to plate is the 5+6 plate. #1 plate is good for sensitive skin and fine hair . You can barely notice the blade is there.

Tried this razor but wasn’t satisfied. Switched back to my safety razor or straight razor. The shaving cream is amazing and the brush to apply to your face is awesome

I have not tried the fatip. I do recall lots of the guys on the forums and groups saying it was fantastic for the money though! I do love my aristocrat though!! Such an outstanding razor.

Great video. I’ve been curious about Barberry Coast for a while now but never pulled the trigger. I’m a balm guy as well. I’m trying to decide between the bay rum and the Havana balms. I’m curious which bay rum you tried in the past and didn’t like and why. I’ve tried St. John’s and I find it to be too strong and perfumey I wonder if a lot of them can be like that. The next one I tried was Grand Bay. Smells more natural and lighter to me.

The Barberry Coast stuff is excellent. I'd be hard pressed to choose just one of these. As for past Bay Rums I cannot recall which one I didn't like, but I do recall it not being very spicy and as you said a bit perfumey.

@@thecanuckshaver922 you can continue the shaving thing. The channel will grow slowly. But it maybe difficult to hit big nos. If possible try keeping the channel alive with minimum videos every year.

When did they stop with the wooden boxes? My order last year was in a cork tray with a cardboard sleeve I had to rip open to get it out as the tray wouldn’t budge. Placed another order on Christmas and the razor came as individual parts in small cardboard boxes and was missing the Nodachi OC plate. Not cool as I like their packaging almost as much as their razors.

Sorry to hear that. I know they only had the wooden boxes for a short time. I imagine the cost to make them was fairly high probably led to them changing their packaging. Love the razor and case I got and I'm sorry it's changed, hopefully the quality is still outstanding on the razor/shave.

I did order today 1805 today and hope will be nice scent and also I’m thinking down the road get aspley.. You think it’s truly worth it?

@@alanh8101 I love 1805! Very masculine and a crowd pleaser. Apsley is fantastic as well. As for the Sandalwood I'm not sure, as I'm not a huge sandalwood guy. Also I've only used T&H creams I think, and they are fantastic

Shaving with a safety razor is simple, only take two steps. 1. Throw safety razor into the trash 2. Use literally anything else that won't rip your skin to shreds.

I just found a band new supply 2.0 online an I can’t wait to try it out on my face an head. I’ve been using a Gillette fusion for yrs. An i’m tired of the over priced cartridges. So I will use this razor until I master it to perfection. Nice video.

It's Palmira. It's a Serbian soap. It comes in a blue cube box. Quite inexpensive but for me produced great lather and performance overall!!

I bought the rockwell 6c after this .(Wanted to know the differnces) i am a little low on money to justify the 6s ..and no time to save up...becuase my old bluebeards revenge broke. the treadwire was from day 1 verry bad and yesterday the treadwire was totally gone...had to shave half my face with a kitchen knife. Luckely i am a master with sharpening stones so my gf now has 1 super extreem sharp blade . Cant wait till my new shaver comes in !

First the quality is way better than the bluebeards revenge that i got previos before this one.... 1 the gun metal color is nice and even (on the bluebeard this was only half done!) ..... 2 good screwthread (on the bluebeard the top of the pole of the wire thread was just cut off and not coated!) So verry impressed by the quality (especially becuase the Bluebeard was just as expensive and dont feature 4 plates..

about the shaving its self..GOOD way better than my bluebeard revenge. i can go over my nek (adams appel) without worring getting cut or my upper lips had to be verry carefull with the bluebeard,With the c6 this one was smooth. Plate 123 you can use on your daily shave. Or private parts weekly.(or when you 16 and just started to get a beard) plate 4 i would use for if you got a bush in your private parts. plate 5 and 6 i would use on my 4 day old beard. (that i did evt first time) I started with plate 1 took too long. plate 3 also was not fast. Than i took plate 6 and was in shave all hair gone.and about is aggresive as my bluebeards revenge So what i know Rockwell is a good quality company (And when i have more money i will buy the black stainless steel one. And i will never buy a product from bluebeard way lower quality for teh same price +the c6 gives 2 extra plates for teh same money and a way better finish

Permasharp and silver blue, but pricey. Voskhod are smooth, well priced, but could be sharper and don't last as long.

I was finally able to get one with the C plate and 3.5" handle. The shave is about the same as a Rockwell with a 4 plate. The handle is fine too. I think that West Coast Shaving in California sells a variety of brass handles for a reasonable price if you want to try something different but still have an all brass razor.

Just a 'bye the way', but Zinc doesn't rust, but it can corrode. It's usually used because it's easy to cast where as stainless steel would probable have to be milled from a billet.

Mid to mild. Definitely not overly aggressive. A great shaver. Congratulations on finding one in great condition!!

Flipping the blade doesn't affect longevity as it's the same edge regardless if you flip it or not. Typically most blades do 3-5 shaves for myself.
