Fantastic idea. So simple, yet very effective. I wanted to purchase a ribbon storage where the spools all rest on a dowel, but imagining all those hanging & unraveling pieces of ribbon turned me off. Thanks for sharing 😊

The drawer part of the box was made with card, while the patterned wrap was made using a heavyweight paper. The weight of card or paper you'll need will depend on the weight of the items you plan to place inside the drawer. Obviously the heavier the card / paper the stronger the finished box will be.

Thanks Bonnie. I got my lazy susan in IKEA, it's called Snudda and made of solid birch. It is about 15" (39 cm) across and can take 12kg in weight.

Im stupid i suppose but do not know what DSP is
@Papercraftwithme
@Papercraftwithme 6 ай бұрын
I'm sorry Marlene, I do try to remember not to use jargon but this one obviously slipped past me. DSP is short for Designer Series Paper. This is the heavy weight (usually double-sided) patterned paper from Stampin' Up! that I use in my projects.

Hello, subtitles are active on my videos, you just need to select your language. However this video does not mention the measurements in cms, only inches. So you will have to convert the measurements yourself, sorry Bonjour, les sous-titres sont actifs sur mes vidéos, il vous suffit de sélectionner votre langue. Cependant cette vidéo ne mentionne pas les mesures en cm, seulement en pouces. Vous devrez donc convertir les mesures vous-même, désolé

what type of scissors you use ?

To cut my ribbon I have an unbranded pair I bought years ago. I'll be honest and day that I bought them because they had purple grips lol. The key point is that these scissors have NEVER been used to cut card, paper or anything other than ribbon and twine.

What is taren (spelling?) Tape?
@Papercraftwithme
@Papercraftwithme Жыл бұрын
Hi Santanna. Tear & Tape is double-sided adhesive that comes on a roll with a protective paper backing. It's really strong but doesn't need any special device to apply it. You stick it down like sellotape and you can just tear off as much as you need (hence the name). Once stuck down you peel off the backing to reveal the other side of the tape and stick onto that. Here's a link to it in my Stampin' Up! online store www.stampinup.ca/products/tear-tape-adhesive?demoid=2135247

@Papercraftwithme
@Papercraftwithme Жыл бұрын
My biggest tip would be keep a pair of good scissors just for cutting your ribbon NEVER use them to cut card or paper. To remind myself and others which ones are only for ribbon... I've tied some ribbon to the handles.

Great tutorial and will try it once I figure out how to fold and cut for the pen. I'm finding you are going to fast to grasp this. Will have to watch it several more times.
@Papercraftwithme
@Papercraftwithme Жыл бұрын
Hi Julie, I'm sorry you thought I was going too fast in parts. Did you know that when you watch KZbin videos you can change the video playback speed? Click on the cog (settings) icon at the bottom right of the video. Then the second option is "playback speed". Click where it says "normal". You can then choose your playback speed from 0.25 (quarter speed) through to 2x normal speed. I hope this helps.
