Piercer here :) the nose jewellry you had in probably was sterling silver, its common knowledge among piercers that sterling silver, more specifically the copper alloy, reacts with body oils and stains the skin green/black. Its especially common with piercings, and more likely to happen with mucus membranes, rather than just the skin surface like fingers for rings ect (but still possible!)
